I will be pleased if PJ is our new manager, he did extremely well with Bradford and Wigan and seems to me he only ran away to Derby to try and avoid the scandal, why else would he move to a lesser club? It also seems to be a perfect scenario for him as he has joined during a transfer window and has 21 players out of contract at the end of the season so will be able to build his own squad without deadwood wages clogging up the finances come the new season |

I think the trouble with world class players becoming managers is that they invariably start management with a top team and top class players which makes it very difficult to ascertain whether a teams plays well because of them or because they are a group of class players who know what they are doing. I feel it is much better to focus on someone like Mourinho who has no history as a player and relies mainly on his man management skills to motivate players to play well. |

If RK had physically abused DD this would be a case of Gross Misconduct and RK could be sacked without notice (No compensation) which would be the perfect way to get rid of an unwanted Manager. Therefore the story is either false or The Town do not wish to get rid of RK, bummer!! |

This guy looks really good at championship level having played 64 times for WBA in the previous two seasons. I was wondering what the rules are for the number of loan signings we can have and found this bit of info:
Standard loans can be for half a season or a full season. These can only be done during the two transfer windows (i.e. by the end August or January).
Emergency loans can be done outside of the transfer window, but not after the fourth Thursday in November or March.
A club can have a maximum of four players under 23 and a further four over 23 on standard loan during the season. There is no limit on Emergency Loans.
However, only four players maximum can join one club from another during the season.
A maximum of five loan players can be named on a team sheet. |

A work mate of mine was at the Spurs v WB game last night and saw RK in the executive boxes with TL and CK and he thinks one other, so they obviously stayed on after the Reserves game. My mate went up to him and asked for a picture with him as he is an ITFC supporter, RK never said a word to him just turned round for the camera and turned back again after the shot, not one word was spoken!!! Maybe RK was there admiring what you can do with a quality left winger and wishing he had one, I remember that bloke we had on loan from Spurs, he was really good, what was his name?.... oh yeah that's it, Andros Townsend!!! I wonder what happened to him???? |

I would like to see the team set up with 3 centre halfs and two wingbacks, Peters is a natural on the right for that role but not sure about on the left, although Civelli would suit that role as he is both a defender and winger, 3 in the middle and two up front. seems to me it suits the players with have more than any other tactics we employ |

I agree with comeonthegoodtimes he must have taken a drop in wages when leaving Sunderland so hopefully his priority is to play most weeks and be clearly visible to the Hungary coach. I posted a comment at the beginning of the season about how 5 championship teams were not being shown at all on Sky Sports according to their listings for 2010. I was thinking the same as you when I saw this headline, but maybe we should just take it as a barometer of our change in fortunes and be grateful. Do you think RK is the most interviewed Manager on Sky? (cant for the life of me imagine why!) they must have an OB parked right next to PR as everday there seems to be a "Roy Keane said" headline on Sky Sports News. |

I have checked and double checked the regulations regarding the 25 man squad, 8 home grown players rule and cant find anything which would explain the initial loan period only being up to his 21st birthday, maybe Jake's current contract runs out on his 21st birthday so have to make sure he re-signs before the loan period can continue up to January. As I see it it makes no difference how old you are if you are deemed to be a Home Grown player, the only restriction I see is that you cant have more than 17 over 21's in your squad that arn't home grown. |

@Gazza, I don't know if we have the youngest squad in the Championship but I would imagine we probably do. I can tell you that the average age of our squad is 22.94 years. Our youngest player is, obviously, Connor at 17 years and 6 months, we have 13 teenagers in the squad and five 20 year olds. Our oldest player is Mark Kennedy at 34 and we have 5 other players in their thirties. |

Hey Dale, I've been thinking about this and wonder if a home grown player under 21 actually reaches 21 during the interim does he automatically become elligble to be counted as one of the 25. If not then why is the loan period only up to the day before his 21st birthday, no way it can be just a coincidence. Can anyone clarify this for me? |

Ok now I understand why he'son loan til the 13th November, Harry is hedging his bets in case one of his home grown over 21 players gets injured, come the 14th November Livermore will be 21 and a home grown player so can be included in Harry's 25 man squad if needed. |
