Ipswich Town 3-2 Bristol City - Match Report
at 22:57:15

The whole team have an insane amount of belief coursing through their veins. So many parallels to last season. Amazing to watch whether good, bad or ugly.

Leicester, Leeds and Southampton might fancy their chances buying their way out of the Championship. We’ll do it by steamrolling our way through them all!

Up the town!!

Updated: Webster Set for Bristol City as Clubs Agree Fee
at 22:09:49

For a bunch of fans who haven't been and watched an ITFC game in ages, you all seem surprisingly clued up on how much of a top player Webster has been.

Even if the fee is only £3.5m as quoted, thats still 5 times more than the club paid for him, and he's not exactly set the world on fire during his time here.

A good piece of business for the club no matter where the funds are re-invested.

Updated - Marcus Evans Interview
at 19:37:18

think you misread my comment @warktheline, I was referring to the 50 or so idiots who saw it fit to call Mick things usually reserved for rapists, murderers and child molesters during Mick's last game when he subbed young Mr Cotter. Things I had to then try to explain to my 7 year old son who asked me what they meant.

If that makes me a numbskull then guilty as charged. I not sure Mick was referring to me and my children, perhaps he was referring to you. We're you there?

Updated - Marcus Evans Interview
at 18:08:38

As a fan it's reassuring to know that the guy at the top is a human being like anyone else, and he genuinely wants the club to succeed as much as the fans. I think Mr Sheepshanks made the correct decision to sell the club on to Marcus Evans.

He's 100% right in sticking to his guns and imposing a limit on how much he puts in. No business, no matter what industry its part of is guaranteed to succeed even with massive investment. I would rather he do what he's doing now than gamble ITFC's long term future by un-necessarily throwing money at it and plunging us further into debt.

Mick did a terrific job in repairing the damage caused by those two idiots who preceded him, and he should quite rightly have left the club with his head held high. Not arguing against the logic for his departure, as it was obvious his time was up but just a huge shame that a small group of 'numbskulls' prevented him from having the send off he deserved.

That said, we move on and very much looking forward to the appointment of the next gaffer.

Up the town!

I'm sorry, but losing 4 - 0 is in no way entertaining whatever way you look at it.

Atmosphere may have been better today, but that's largely down to the pathetic gobsh1tes in the SBR not having anyone to moan at.

Klug: Totally Wrong for Manager of Town to Have to Be Escorted Out
at 17:33:34

Mick and Marcus haven't turned the club into perceived cess pit that it is now. The fans have done that all on their own.

Used to love going to watch games with my 3 kids. I've stopped going. I don't think my children should have to listen to the disgusting bile that's been directed at Mick. He obviously felt the same so he found the door.

Well done to the Portman Rd faithful and miserable TWTD posters, hope you've got what you wanted.

Numbskulls doesn't really do the fans on TWTD any justice. I used to quite enjoy reading the comments on here, and engaging in constructive debate. Nowadays its just vicious bile and hatred I read.

Best of luck to both Mick and TC - hope you both find a club where the fans aren't complete know-it-all a-holes.

Embarrassed to call myself a town supporter.

It's a bit difficult to categorise you or mickzz as anything else blueboy, what with all the constant anti ITFC comments you write on each and every article on this site.

Would gracefully accept being wrong about that one, if you were able to prove you've ever been a supporter of ITFC. Good luck with that one, its obvious you aren't.

Hmmm MickZzzTactics, i'm guessing you are none other than EADT's resident bore merchant currently using the name 'Pundit'. Always wondered whether that was you!

There isnt such thing as constructive debate on EADT as anyone with half a brain would know their articles are largely commented on by Norwich fans like yourself.

Again, more than willing to have constructive debate with fans on a proper ITFC fan site. That i'm afraid doesn't include users like you, who are just intent on using negative posts to belittle ITFC and its fans. Can you give me one example of a non anti-ITFC post you've written... ever?

heathen66, it's not that the pro Mick camp don't come on here (I count myself as one of them). It's more a case that there is a select group of users on here who make it their mission to drown us out with their pathetic "holier than thou" attitude towards those who don't align with their thinking.

To be perfectly honest it bores the crap out of me, and as a result sometimes I will not comment or mark up or down for weeks because of it. I am sure there are many others who feel the same. All a bit sad really.

I'd be much more interested in conversing with other users constructively, regardless of whether they are for or against. Just a shame the maturity levels and brain power of some seem to spoil it for the rest of us.

A good result compared to some of our recent performances. Hopefully the team can build on this and get a win at home tuesday.

Those of you planning to protest on tuesday night - grow a pair, stop whinging and get behind the team. Mick is the manager, Marcus Evans is the owner, get over it. Cant see there being many of you anyway, most of you are gutless keyboard warriors.

Dyer: Players Need Fans’ Support Not Protests
at 11:12:02

blueboy1981 - for someone who describes themselves as an older and more mature fan, you come across as a rather childish and spiteful individual.

I'd rather not enter into a slanging match about how much money we have each individually put into the club over the years, or for how long. It's an irrelevant and pointless argument.

Everyone regardless of their age, financial input etc has just as much right to be a supporter of the club and post their opinions as you do.

I might suggest you climb down off that giant soapbox of yours and have a little more respect for other fans. You never know, you might actually get some respect in return.

If it means fans like you aren't around blueboy1981 then i'm all for it.

Perhaps you should change your tone a little and offer some constructive criticism of the club and accept that other posters have opinions different to yours, rather than wasting your time slagging everyone off.

But then again you're quite obviously a Nodger in disguise so there will be no telling you either way!

McCarthy Admits Transfer Frustrations
at 15:10:24

what a stupid comment hegansheroes. unless your "sources" are Marcus Evans, Mick McCarthy or Ian Milne and they have told you directly what the company strategy is for the next few years, you sir are talking utter BS!

I too have a source at the club, a genuine one who is bound by a contract of employment that prevents the said person from divulging any club related matters to anybody... especially disgruntled whingy fans who post on fan sites purporting to know information they really don't.

McCarthy: Town Operating in Same Markets
at 13:33:32

Where's the money from the Mings, Cresswell and Wickham sales? Seriously??

The club costs an enormous amount of money to run - if any of you wonder where the money from those player sales went, I suggest you look at the company accounts for the last 5 years or so. If after you are still wondering where that money has gone then you obviously haven't read through the figures properly!

As for Mick's comments, Marcus Evans isn't going to start throwing millions in the blind hope that we might go up as a result. Derby are a prime example of this, and where has it got them? They finished 2 places above us and didn't go up. Millions wasted, millions added to the club debts and they are still in the championship.

The club transfer policy isn't necessarily what everyone wants, but that's the one ITFC are sticking to. I'd rather be in the position we're in where we can spend money if required, without the risk of having a transfer embargo or fine being handed to us.
