Thread | Should europe be the expectations next season?

Should we be aiming for Europe next season? I don’t think we’ll get top 4 but in the top 7 will be nice. A season in Europe would attract many new fans. We could build a 40-45k extension and be a massive club in a decade. [Post edited 9 May 16:17]

Does anyone else think we could improve the role the supporters club has. Next season we’ll have kick offs regularly on Sundays, Mondays etc. Could we not go about organising more coaches. Perhaps we can contact the club and ask if they can send surveys out with interest. We could have coaches from Bury, Felixstowe, Lowestoft, Cambridge, Colchester, Chelmsford, Clacton etc. Would be much more eco-friendly and allow fans to spend more money in the local pubs and fan zone. |

Some people think we’re going to be spending £20m+ on individual players. I think we’ll spend a decent amount, but I think we’ll spend with the potential of relegation in the back of our mind. I’d much rather we spend £40m on 7-8 players than on 2.
That Ballard seems like it would be an excellent signing, Sunderland fans really do rate him. I’m sure McKenna has given Ashton his list already . |

I’ve seen a lot of angry Colchester fans in recent days moaning about Ipswich fans from Colchester. How well supported are we there? Are there more Ipswich fans than Colchester fans in their own town?
Is that why they are so angry all the time, salty seeing Colchester station full of Town fans every other week 🤣🤣 |

It won’t be long you’d think until the club announce they have to move season ticket holders from the cobbold stand to accommodate away fans. League rules say we would need to provide at least 2960 away tickets. Do you think they’ll be moaning? I’m sure the club will compensate appropriately |

The new ticket system works; I'm unsure why people are moaning about it. If you had only bought a membership this season and had five points, you could've got a ticket to Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, QPR, Reading and Southampton. It's a very small minority who sell their tickets, as they would've been the ones who had done the majority of away games last season. It seems to me that people who didn't bother when the club was average/below average are now angry because the club is recognising the fans who stuck with them through thick and thin. I read that McKenna said we were going abroad this year for pre season. Anyone got any idea where it will be? My guess is Austria as that’s where he went pretty much every season when manager of Man Utd U18s. |
