We (my dad and I) came up from CO9 and it’s been such a good experience. So many people of all ages coming out to celebrate. What a team, what a season. Absolutely brilliant. I’m not familiar with most of Ipswich so it was good to see some new bits. Walking through Christchurch Park was lovely. Now in The Greyhound with a pint of Mosaic. 🍺 🔵⚪️ |

The 4–3 win over Blackburn was one of the most entertaining games I can remember. There could easily have been more goals. Luongo's winner was a great moment. I also enjoyed Jackson's goal to make it 2–0 against Stoke in our first home (league) match. That sealed the win and made it two from two. The ones you've mentioned were all special, but the Southampton one probably topped the lot until yesterday. Burns' trivela goal and Sarmiento's winner against the Saints were both moments where I could barely believe what I'd just seen. It might not have been the prettiest goal and it wasn't a winner but I really enjoyed celebrating Morsy's deflected late equaliser against Leicester on Boxing Day. We deserved it. The 2–1 against Sunderland at PR with Chaplin's headed winner was really good also, as was scoring late (twice) to beat Birmingham 3–1. And hammering Wednesday 6–0 on my birthday weekend was brilliant. So many moments to choose from and look back on. I'm probably still forgetting some. Just an amazing (two) season(s). |

Everton (1930–32) and Spurs (1949–51) both did it before us but they’d played in the First Division previously. I’m not sure if our achievement will ever be matched. |

2022–24: Pld92 W56 D26 L10 GF193 GA92 GD+101 Pts194 Our record in the 115 league games since McKenna took charge in December 2021 reads W67 D34 L14 (a 58.3% win ratio) and we are still yet to suffer back-to-back league defeats with him at the helm! Perhaps that is why he is wearing a halo below?... [Post edited 5 May 16:37]

Last season's home shirt was partly based on the one we wore during our 1991–92 Second Division-winning campaign. The shirt worn during our next promotion in 2000 was the inspiration for this season's home strip. Those were the last two times we had been promoted until 2022–23 and 2023–24. Umbro knew exactly what they were doing. 🔵⚪️ |

I think my first Ipswich game was the 6–1 win over Leicester in the opening home match of the 2002–03 season. I was six. I had a season ticket from 2009 to ‘16, 2018 to ‘20 and then again from 2021. I’ve never seen us play a match in the top division. I’ve never attended a Premier League game. The last two years of ITFC have been very special. What we’ve done is something else. Even though I thought we would manage it and get promoted today, this all still feels a bit surreal. What an amazing time for Ipswich Town and us as supporters. 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ |

I did the Portman Road stadium tour the other week. In Ed Sheeran’s box at the end of the tour, our guide talked about the Cobbold Stand opposite and said that the redevelopment of that part of the ground would see the capacity rise to somewhere between 35,000 and 40,000. |

McKenna simply must go. |

Thanks very much to all for the attempts on this. I didn’t expect so many as I thought it could be a bit of a slog to try and get through all the answers. I’m not surprised that the least-guessed team is at the bottom of the list — there’s actually quite a drop-off from the team above on 50% to them on 29%. gainsboroughblue, I think they must have been the club you are referring to. They only spent one season in the third tier in 2003–04 in its final year before it became known as League One and they had only five seasons in the Football League in total. The phoenix club is currently in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands and tomorrow is the final day of their season — they are the wrong side of the relegation line, but level on points (with an identical league record) with the team above them, being worse off by only two goals. |
