A very poor performance from start to finish. It was very disappointing to hear our own fans booing Henderson at the beginning of each half...is it any wonder his confidence is low? I actually thought he played ok and made two or three crucial saves.
The defence looks very poor, especially the two centre backs. Having said that, Cresswell did ok.
The real problem for me is the weak spine as, to add to the suspect centre backs, the two central midfielders have very little to offer...they neither add protection to our back line nor do they create anything going forward. Edwards and Martin both worked hard and had decent-ish games.
Up front I thought both Chopra and Campbell put in decent shifts and closed down the Posh defence well but had limited opportunities in front of goal.
To finish, all I can say is that unless we get some better players in during January then there's a very real possibility that we could go down. |
