Wednesday 17th September at Portman Road, 11 years old watching Town under the lights…
It was my first ever home game, Aris Salonika at the start of an epic UEFA Cup journey..
Awesome..
Mariner worked so hard off the ball that night, I remember wanting him to score so much..
Wark was taking the opportunities.. as ever..
But then right opposite me Mariner volleyed home for 4-1.. I cried my eyes out with joy..
Town, blessed with great internationals for so many seasons back then ..
Rest in Peace Paul.. my thoughts are with your family and friends at this sad time..
Great tributes from all over… I'm sure Paul will be watching down on England with Sir Bobby and big Kev tonight… cheering and shouting…
