Lambert Left Rueing Failure to Take Chances
I thought we played well until Oxford scored and so did Mick Mills.
We lack 2 decent strikers and a central centre half .
I hope Lambert gets the opportunity to build on what looks like a decent foundation.

Thought Holy had a good game and distro was good on Saturday. Downes, Nolan and Skuse seem a good combo in midfield. But we misfired up front. So I would play 3 - 5 - 1 - 1. Same defence, midfield as I described with Sears and Donacian either side. Then Judge in behind Jackson.
Idea being to control possession and break quickly on the flanks with Donacian and Sears, and let Judge have a free role and see what he can do.
I think we have the makings of a good team and it's just confidence missing .
Norwood and Keane need to reflect on the fact that they need to work harder and be more clinical.
Chambers: It Would Be Failure If We Don’t Go Up
There are no world beaters in our division. We had a good start cos we had a good pre-season and looked fitter than the teams we played. We were ahead of those teams because we worked harder than them and showed desire. They have overtaken us because we aren't working as hard as them now!
Hope they are putting the hard yards in on the training ground to catch them up again. It is possible but only if we accept that we need to be fitter and more aggresive in games. The rest will follow.
Lambert: We Lost to the Better Team
Guys I was as disappointed as anybody with our lacklustre error ridden performance.
But I am a big fan of the positivity that PL has brought to the club. I think he deserves our support and the opportunity to finish what he has started.
However he does need to work on our strikers who appear to be waiting for things to happen rather than making things happen. Peterborough's front line oozed confidence and endeavor but I doubt they are technically more gifted.

I wish Toto well. He has a big heart and always gave 100% .
Sad it didn't work out and I certain he has more to offer.
Good luck Toto.
Lambert: If They Want to Go and Employ Another Manager, No Problem
I think quite an honest assessment from PL. The club needs him more than he needs the club. I think the least we can do is get behind him and give him our support for a whole season with his own team.
Unless his comments are in frustration that we may have to sell a couple of players in the transfer window?!
"Embarrassed and Ashamed" Dozzell Opens Up on Mental Health Struggles
Very courageous Jason. Remember you achieved more than most of us will by the age of 16. We all have struggles and make bad decisions. You have to live with the media frenzy so it will be harder. Just remember who you were, where you came from and get back to that and come out of it stronger! Look forward and leave the past behind mate.
Colchester United 0-5 Ipswich Town - Match Report
The result is great! We now seem to plan to score goals rather than hope to score goals. This will do the teams confidence no harm at all.
You win nothing in pre-season but you can lose faith and trust in the manager if it goes badly.
We deserve a little luck too. Just hope last season's gremlins don't strike and we dont lose Norwood and Holy to injuries in first few weeks.
Believing we can score goals is MASSIVE for us. Last season you could see that the players felt we already lost after we were 1-0 down and everyone who played us knew it and exploited our weak defense from kick off!
Colchester United 0-1 Ipswich Town - Half-Time
Yes old enough to remember watching us score 6 against Man Utd and missing 3 pens. TWTD when big Al did his talking on the pitch and turned up semi sober for work!
Chalobah: I'm Sure Town Can Bounce Back Next Season
Trev, thanks for your efforts this season. You've shown a lot of potential and given it all in most games. My player of the season.
If you can cut out a few silly mistakes and add a bit of forward endeavor then I think you'll be a decent premier player. You added some class to a disjointed and unbalanced team.
Sad to see you go and good luck!
O'Neill: Fightback Starts Now
We need a goalie who can dominate the box, a couple of centre backs with physical presence no nonsense approach and 2 strikers. Have we got the money to be competitive next season?
Bree: If Town Go Down They Will Come Straight Back Up
Let's not be too complacent, League 1 will be hard work and we have to earn the right to be called favourites. On day 1 everyone is equal.
We need at least 1 proven goalscorer, a crafty midfield playmaker (to replace judge who will probably go) and a goalkeeper who can dominate the box and take a cross (unfortunately Bart is weak in this area and creates the doubt, hesitancy and confusion in the box that is costing us one or two goals every week)
Skuse: I Want to Stay and I Hope Chambo Does Too
Both these players can do a job for us next season. I hope we can win their hearts and minds and do a deal with them.
Neither had their best seasons this year, but with something to prove next year, they can contribute a lot to the youngsters.
