Wondered if anyone has any previous experience in contacting the club or previous players for messages from players, signature requests, charitable donations etc.
I'm on the hunt for this kind of thing and wondered if anyone has any helpful ideas, tips or advice they can share on the best way forwards. Anyone you've found particularly helpful at the club, method of contact etc.
Any ideas/info would be appreciated. |

Is the fridge door closed?
I understand he might have a slight injury at the moment but I've thought for a while something is a little fishy around Fridge. Regularly talked up all season as part our best centre half pairings but involvement has been noticeably limited this year, albeit with a few injuries in the mix.
Even small things like the latest 'Coffee Club' release from the club. Fridge has been the ever-present host of that feature until now...
Anyone think he might have had a fall-out with someone and be on his way in the summer? Might be nothing in it at all but keen to gauge opinion as something seems awry. |

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to share personal experiences and advice on this thread. It is greatly appreciated and has given me a lot to think about.
I think the key take-away is to think about the subject matter of my next role and ensure it's something I have a genuine interest in.

Looking for any help/advice/opportunities anyone on here is able to offer...
I'm currently in a very mundane, corporate role working for a very large organisation in which I don't enjoy, don't feel valued and ultimately struggle to get motivated for every day (this is draining and is getting worse by the week).
I'm still young (30) but having always worked similar kinds of jobs I feel now is the time to look at a completely new pathway. Without a degree, opportunities are always somewhat limited and being genuinely open to almost anything, I'm at a stage where I'm not sure where to even start! This is the daunting part.
Would appreciate any help, encouragement, words of wisdom etc. Possibly someone has been in a similar position and can share experiences? |

Who's cutting onions?
Credit to our club and a credit to themselves. Such a shame they didn't get to bow out in front of a full Portman Road - the least they deserve.
Freddie's goal at Villa away and tireless running every game. Banter with Skusey in Dusseldorf and his countless last ditch tackles (CDM role isn't underappreciated by everyone). Chambo's all-round passion for the badge and ability to still get up and down the wing even this year.
If we're lucky enough to get 3 players in who give us the service and effort over the next decade that we've had from these boys then we'll be on the right path. There's a seat next to me in the North Stand for any of you at any time - might even buy you a Bovril! Once a blue, always a blue... Uppa Towen |

Heard about mesh networks but never given them much thought as I didn't know if they actually worked. I've just bought a house in a small village where I'm concerned about wi-fi speeds. Are these actually worth considering? |

I've posted about this podcast before on here and have given it the time of day over the previous month and found it's grown on me. Some good content and a worthwhile listen alongside Blue Monday and KOA which have been favourites of mine for some time...
However, this week we seem to be back to old habits of having a pop at the EADT and KOA podcast unnecessarily to try to enhance their own status which doesn't sit comfortably at all. Straight after this conversation they begin trying to formulate a legitimate argument for scrapping the offside rule in football completely!
Stick to what you're doing and improve your own listener stats before slating other, more established podcasts. |

Get's a lot of unfair criticism because he came from Lincoln and wasn't getting a game there. Had that been a Championship club he'd be easily seen as our best CB |

I actually agree with this. No problem with players supporting other clubs, of course they will do. In fact I'm sure all of our players will support another club but it's a completely different thing plastering it all over social media when the club that pay their wages are at their lowest ebb.
Norwood isn't overly bad to be fair but Jimmy Walker in particular tweets about West Ham almost daily. Just a little unsightly maybe |

I thought exactly the same actually. Good questions from Brenner.
I also thought Lambert's answers were pretty fair. Admitting it's not good enough, admitting that he puts a front on in interviews but it's a different kettle of fish outside of that. Also inadvertently putting some of the blame on Evans which I think even the most ardent 'Lambert outer' would agree with is at least 50% of the problem.
Whenever the next manager comes in, he has one hell of a job on his hands. |

I'd be intrigued to get Phil's opinion directly on this as that's different to my interpretation of what Lee's comments.
In relation to changing his email address, I think we can excuse him for not taking on the role of club secretary on top of everything else he's titled with. |
