| News Comment | Huddersfield 2-1 Town - Match Report at 17:18:26
Not great. Not great at all. Must win the next 2 home games and hope results heavily go in our favour. It was a gamble starting Wood instead of Sears and unfortunately it never worked. Gotta try and stay positive, we still have a big chance of reaching the playoffs. |
| News Comment | Town Win Williams Battle and Also Sign Fryers at 17:00:31
Final push. More players brought in. Williams back again. Won the last 2 games. Arguably the best manager and assistant in the league. It would be a Job to find something negative about Ipswich at the moment.exciting times. Let's finish this season on a even bigger high coyb!!!! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Huge Result at 18:11:15
This is why we all love football at the end of the day , for moments like these. This won't be the last time this season that we experience a feeling like this I imagine. Let's enjoy it and try not to be so negative! COYB |
| News Comment | Norwich City 2-0 Town - Match Report at 16:07:40
So sick of losing to Norwich. Especially with the two deflected goals, they had more luck than us and more quality in midfield. I thought both teams were pretty poor today. But the season isn't over! Let's enjoy the trip to Leeds and go back to our winning ways! Coyb |
| News Comment | Nottingham Forest 2-2 Town at 17:26:55
Before the game I wouldve taken a point. I cant see why there was 5 mins of added time, thought 3 was about right. The negative is that we let in 3 goals from corners in the last week. The positives are aplenty however. Unbeaten in 7, still in a playoff spot,a point against a team that will be promoted next season if they keep their form up, full squad of players in good form. Much better now at the second international break than the first, the future is bright if we can tweak these mistakes and keep our form up. COYB! |
| News Comment | Bishop and Skuse Return at 18:57:05
Bishops definitely making a name for himself! So glad to see him progress so much, and looking forward to hopefully seeing Joniesta making his re-debut tonight. Good luck guys! |
| News Comment | Williams Set for Town Return at 21:33:46
Regarding Bishop however, Mick said that Teddy wont be playing 40 odd games a season, if Williams comes, they might do a game about, OR we can drop maybe Sammon and play Williams behind Murph and McGoldrick. There's lots of things we can do with him |
| News Comment | Williams Set for Town Return at 21:29:58
This is fantastic news, Williams could be the last piece of the puzzle (up until January that is) and alongside a fully fit McGoldrick, a Teddy Bishop that's on fire right now, Hyam that's in good form, and more, we have such a spark and potential 'it' factor. Times are good right now in the Portman Road camp, lets keep it up!! |
| News Comment | Town 2-0 Rotherham United at 17:10:39
Well fought victory today, like our last 3. Very Well done to the team, and obviously massive credit to the gaffer and management team. For all his critics, McCarthy has proved in this month why hes one of the best in this league. Got 2 difficult games next before the international break, and the way some of our players are playing, as long as we keep playing well, I hope we keep out the negativity and hopefully get some more results! | News Comment | Parr: Town Can Emulate Palace Promotion at 08:04:28
Its nice that everyone at the club has been saying and believing we can make the playoffs this season, I just hope that we don't jinx it by talking about it publicly too much! As MM would say, this is a 'bonkers league'! But this is nice in contrast to a couple of weeks ago. Lets just take it a game or two at a time see what happens, hopefully by adding to our to our unbeaten streak tomorrow. |

| News Comment | Dropped Duo Disappointed But Took It Well at 17:04:13
Osborne - while I also wouldve preferred hyam and bishop playing together again, I can see why MM did it. With Ambrose, Bishop and potentially Collison here at the club, we need to what midfield partnership works best now. I imagine MM played skuse as he has more age and experience and could benefit Bishop, and/or he was seeing wether or not they work together well or not. |
| News Comment | Dropped Duo Disappointed But Took It Well at 06:30:43
I say this a lot but We're in a very fortunate situation with our cb's right now. A few years ago, this position in particular was by far the weakest and most unreliable in the league. Now we have IMO 3 of the best cb's in the league (and arguably the best one in Christophe Berra) and while many critisiced MM for constantly playing Chambers at right back, it was probably the only way he could fit the 3 of them in our starting 11. I expect that it'll be half and half, some teams we'll play the 3 of them, others we'll use only 2, but both ways have advantages. It's also really unlucky for Hyam too, has been solid this season, and was amazing against Fulham, but on Saturday, I was either going to be him or Bishop playing probably, and I'm delighted that Bishop played. But still, it's good too have this sort of - and after remembering the RK/PJ, it makes me very happy to say this- depth in the team. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Delighted With Tabb at 06:17:44
Tabb has been decent this season, I mean he hasn't done much but he was never going to be prolific in the chances created/goals/assists department. He's been mostly solid and has done well (mostly) at protecting and helping Mings at left back. I do imagine that when Stewart gets fit enough however, MM will play him instead. He's a player that's more ready than Henshall is at the moment to take that spot regularly IMO and has pace, is exciting and can surely create something. I'm excited for when he gets his chance in the side. |
| News Comment | Town 2-0 Millwall at 17:20:48
Good good win today, delighted that Mings and Bishop were fantastic today. Delighted too that Murphy and in particularly McGoldrick scored today, even though McGoldrick still isn't 100% match sharp. Lets go again against Brighton and get a win on my birthday lol COYB |

| News Comment | Smith, Hyam and Bru Drop Out at 14:58:07
While its unfair that Hyam gets dropped, it might be good for Bishop to be beside a more experienced player. Absolutely Delighted that Bishop starts, however. Dropping Smith though is really unlucky for him, we are in a great situation where we have possibly the 3 top cb's in this league. Difficult to drop any of them, Tommy's our academy player, Chambers' our skipper and Berra is the best cb in the league. Got a good feeling about today for us, COYB! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Taylor Never Showed Enough at Town at 06:49:16
It's nice to see him play well. I would've liked him to show it more while he's been at Ipswich so he could get more game time but ah well. When he comes back though, we do have positive things we can do, we can either give him another chance or try and sell him for at least a bit of £££. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Evans Doesn't Want to Do McGoldrick Deal at 19:00:47
The way I think about Mick's comments are like this: Micks not going to want too say he's going to get a replacement for Didsy if he leaves because it potentially raises the cost of buying in new strikers. Also, I see it as a psychological benefit when he says he's cool with the strikers he has got here, of course everyone knows if we lose a player we need to bring a new one in, but MM isn't going to potentially ruin the rest of the strikers coinfidence only for us not to bring in anyone. Also, to me, Mick is sort of hinting that even if we do sell DM, the money may not be used in such a way that we, and Mick too, wants AKA a sizeable transfer budget. But I'm rambling and probably thinking way too much about it all haha. |
