| News Comment | McKenna Linked With Manchester United at 13:36:37
Not worried about any noise relating to Man Utd, given there are still a significant number of players there now who allegedly didn’t listen to or rate McKenna when he was there. Big time Charlies who felt KMc’s CV didn’t give him the authority to tell them how to play and why they needed to work harder than they were prepared to. If Ange starts to talk himself out of the Spurs job I’d be more concerned about that. But I do believe KMc is enjoying ITFC and enjoying life right now and wants to back himself to establish us in the Prem for the next 2-3 seasons until a big 6/7 club opportunity becomes too good to turn down. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Reviewed the Whole Cardiff Performance at 09:49:06
Was a harsh lesson like the Charlton game last season - which the team responded to really well. Fans SHOULDN’T (typo correction!) feel entitled to watching us dominate every minute of every game in this incredibly competitive league. Agree we looked to have it under control, but we were too pure in still trying to find short passes out of tricky situations at the death, just needed to get rid and get up and out in added time. |

Also reckon this is way off the mark - KcKenna has nurtured him through his injury and back into 1st team football…, plus he gives us cover at right back as well as CB, and with Harry Clarkes’ ongoing achilles issue and Brandon Williams back at Man U injured, we need him. End of….!! |
| News Comment | AFC Wimbledon 1-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 08:55:26
Morsy continues to show he is such an important driving force. Fridge and Wolfie very good. Could Axel become our go-to right back given a bit more time there - especially as he has played RB in the Champions League and had Mbappe pocketed in a Utd win before! |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Certainly Won't Have Everyone Back at 11:12:13
As we’re still depleted today, I’d take a point which would keep us in 2nd spot regardless of what Saints do at Carrot Road. Rest all the ‘crown jewels’ at Wimbledon, lots of rotation, I have tickets but want to see the ressies in basically so the first teamers can recover as best as possible to go hard at Sunderland on 13th and beyond. New signings by then would be massively helpful if possible too! |
| News Comment | McKenna: A Difficult Build-Up and Not a Great Game at 23:57:25
A fair and honest assessment from Kieran - regardless of the opposition we were really up against it with the absences and circumstances going on. In truth we were well off it tonight, lucky to come away with another point gained on Leeds and still 3 clear of Southampton. If the return of Sam Morsy vs Stoke on NYD can help us pick up something there, then the FA Cup weekend will give us a welcome break, make 11 changes, and get busy in the treatment room and the transfer market ahead of Sunderland on 13th January where we can hopefully be back up to full tilt again and still in the top 2. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Hirst Hamstring Injury Significant at 15:51:04
GH so instrumental to how we play. Huge loss. Jay Standfield and Armad Diallo a.s.a.p. for me please (even if both on loan) and maybe another attacking option too |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Leicester City - Match Report at 23:14:29
So important that we didn’t crumble today - fantastic resilience shown, a late, late goal against a great team like Leicester fuels our belief in tough situations in the months to come. |
| News Comment | Tottenham Set to Recall Scarlett at 23:06:06
Makes sense for both sides. He’s got some promise, but we need more command and impact in a striker to supplement Hirst. |
| News Comment | Leeds United 4-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 15:15:23
At half time I felt Leeds had the absolute maximum return from not a huge amount of pressure in the game…, what with the foul not given on Chaplin for the first goal, then an own goal and a penalty, they’d created 1 strong chance and were 3 - 0 up, we’d created 2 strong chances and not converted. The game has just gone away from us in the 2nd half. Not good enough in the little details. Let’s not let one game define our season - learn, but quickly onto the next one. COYB. |
| News Comment | Leeds United 4-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 15:11:42
Ok awful day at the office. What’s so important now is what happens next - it’s just 3 points today, we have to get the show back on the road asap, and can Leeds / Southampton attain the consistency they need to get anywhere near us. |
| News Comment | Watford 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:38:51
KMc makes 5 changes, brilliant rotations, but keeps Morsy IN, this really concerned me - shows how much I know! Skip was MOTM - just outstanding! In KMc we trust! |
| News Comment | McKenna: Williams to Be Assessed at 16:09:21
Would love Brandon to be involved but suspect it makes more sense to let him avoid the travel, rest up, and get good training sessions in Wed/Thurs/Fri ahead of Saturday at home to Swansea. Harry or Janoi could adequately cover this one. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-3 Fulham - Match Report at 22:01:20
Necessary experience and minutes for many of those lads that started - didn’t really click with all the changes but didn’t lie down either, our best spell was the last 15 minutes. KMc will have taken pointers away from it - onto Saturday with the fresh first line aiming to continue the league momentum. No drama. |
