McKenna: Proud Night Individually and For Everyone at the Club
at 20:01:46

A massive congratulations to Kieran he fully deserves this award. The man just oozes professionalism and class. I appreciate they get media training but every time I read his interviews he speaks with so much fluetity and just seems to know what to say. I have so much confidence in everyone associated with Ipswich at the minute and regardless of what happens this season Kieran and everyone associated with the club deserves the up most respect and appreciation. Thankyou to not only you Kieran but everyone at the club no matter what happens you have all given 110%.

Simms Close to Coventry Move
at 16:43:42

My godson used to play with Ellis in Everton u18s and I've watched him score a boat load of goals. Whilst he clearly had skill he was always bigger and more powerful than others to his age group which helped him. He then scored more and more goals in u23 before going out on loan because Everton were afraid to use him in the first team at a time when they were struggling. Whilst he scored a few goals at the various clubs he's been out on loan to I agree with most comments that Ipswich are very sensible to not have paid out silly money for someone who in my opinion has proved very little at this early stage of his career. Maybe this is just the market now for a player whose come through a premiership academy.

Town Confirm Austria Fixtures
at 18:01:38

The talk of overseas pre-season friendlies takes me back to when I was younger before having kids around 20 plus years ago (George Burley era) when we often went to Scandinavia. Those were good days. I always enjoyed them and hope those younger than me who have the opportunity travel because it's good times. Not sure players would do it now but back then the likes of Mark Venus, Jim Magilton coming out for a few beers with you after the match against Sundsvall was class.

Fans Urged to Stay Off the Pitch
at 18:00:24

I personally think the players and staff have more important things to think about this week rather than the suggested comment that they make a plea to fans to stay off the pitch IF we get promoted. However what I'll say is that having supported Ipswich for years and years and now as a bloke in his mid 40s I can control my emotion alot better than say I could back in the year 2000 when we were good and getting promoted. What I witnessed at Barnsley on Tuesday night were a new bread of supporters late teens who have not witnessed any glory following Ipswich and I totally get that it's more this type of fan who can easily get carried away as they are generally the ones tanked up on 6 pints and with a load of mates. I've never been a knob at games and pushed stewards around like some did on Tuesday night but the ones I saw do that were 6 stone wet through and if they carry this behaviour on will one day end up on there backside with a out of place nose as they will upset the wrong person. It's easy for me to say at my age to stay in your seat but I get how easy it is to get lost in the moment. Hopefully everyone enjoys it. Remember the pitch invasion at elland rd when we effectively relegated them a few years ago.

Cheltenham Town 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:39:04

Does anyone else feel really pisĀ£@d off and have that empty sickly feeling in their stomach like someone's done you wrong?
At 1 nil up and top of the league I was ready to have another beer and order a pizza and was so happy looking at the live league table and seeing us top. But now I just feel so deflated and wanna say f@*k off to anyone who asks what up. Maybe I should just go to bed and call it a day.
I think the players and staff have been amazing so god knows how you guys must be feeling. All I'd say if any of you just so happen to read any of these messages is ignore any of the messages that point blame, try not to feel as pissed off as me and know that deep down everyone of us proper supporters know how much effort you are putting in to getting promoted. Players, staff, fans we all need to keep the faith and understand that sh@t happens and you cannot possibly win every game especially without conceeding. Whilst feeling dejected I am the most optimistic I have been as an Ipswich fan for over 30 years so to everyone involved with the club thankyou. Please please please take don't let this result pi@@ you off like it has me.

Lincoln City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 21:12:50

All I am saying TexasTom is to try and remain upbeat and think of the positives. We are now getting 28,000 fans at home, taking over 2000 to Lincoln, sitting 3rd in the league all because of the better type of football we are now playing and positive vibes around the club. We have a strong team that I believe will come good in the end but we all need to stick together. I personally feel that the majority who are now attending these games appreciate this. I just look at how big of a club we are now compared to how it was under the last few managers and ultimately what we can be in the future which is much bigger than some established premiership clubs.

Lincoln City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:00:00

I rarely comment as prefer to sit back and read what everyone else has to say and take time to reflect on my beloved Ipswich in private. However, I cannot just sit here and read so much bolloxks any longer. I started supporting Ipswich in 1990 so I'm not some teenager whose not seen the rollercoaster of a ride that being an Ipswich fan comes with. We are now playing some of the best football I have seen us play for a long long time. Yes it is incredibly frustrating not to pick up points when our possession and shots on target warrant it but we are still 3rd. Please for heaven's sake just try and get behind the team. I am now seeing an atmosphere at games like I did under Burley and I believe these are our genuine fans who are not on here criticising every 5 minutes. There is clearly some illness going around our squad yet we have in my opinion showed our class against the last 2 teams we have played. Granted we have not put the ball in the back of the net but we have outplayed our opponents. The greats of Barcelona, Man City sometimes struggle breaking down teams so please just for one minute think about where we are now, what type of football we play and who is leading us before we start moaning.

McKenna: Second Half Was a Completely Different Game
at 17:25:02

I know I need to stop living in the past but I just can't believe teams like Rotherham / Plymouth / Wycombe are better than us at the moment. I suppose that's just football nowadays and clubs like Oldham could say the same given their position in football. However, under Mckenna I am very optimistic about our future and will keep telling myself that. I just crave the days when I was at places like the San Siro watching Ipswich.

Cook: We Fully Deserved Something Out of the Game
at 20:16:19

I watched the full 90 of this match and as the game carried on and we continued to dominate but fail to take advantage of some decent chances to score i kept saying to my kids we will end up losing this game I just knew it. As much as I now feel gutted and have that empty feeling in my stomach at the end of this match I must remind myself to remain positive because we played really well and the luck that is needed in football from time to time just wasn't on our side today.
I just hope that the amazing support we have at the moment continues. This is my biggest worry. A couple of defeats and fans think we are s**t but please keep the faith because I could hear every single one of you at the ground today and you all should be proud of yourselves for the support you gave. Luck just wasn't on our side today but please keep the faith and acknowledge that we played really well.

Penney: Over Time We Will Get Better
at 08:14:23

I seriously do get the fact that a massive overhaul of players will no doubt take time to start gelling together but I am getting a little bit sick and tired of hearing this now. You are all professionals so just get on with the job. The likes of Wigan keep picking up points so the more we bleat on about time the less we will have as soon we will be 20+ points behind the leading pack.

Play-Offs-Bound U23s Win at Crewe
at 10:27:53

Sorry Linkboy13 but I disagree as I think it gives the youngest the experience in travelling long distances for games which is also important. My godson plays at u23 level and he says the same. At that sort of stage of your career your knocking at the door of senior football and need to play teams from all over the country not just your local neighbours. Its not your local u13s Sunday league at the end of the day.

Cook: We Never Looked Like Losing But Didn't Look Like Scoring the Goals to Win It
at 18:54:45

Part of me thinks 'come on win this game and then were closer to the play offs' and when we fail im gutted. But when I take the time to think about it all I just don't see how we could possibly beat the teams in the top 6 over 2 legs anyway and then even win the final. I've said it before the players unfortunately are just average league 1 players hence why we got relegated and why most are struggling now. I always feel though like next week we will come good but week after week I see no improvement and the games are terrible to watch with no creativity or finish which makes me believe as above that were not good enough. Paul Cook has to give some belief but he has a right job on his hands. Happy Easter

Thats spoilt my plan for a few beers whilst watching this massive game. Just can't bring myself to crack one open any earlier than 3pm. Let's hope we wake up quicker than we did at Gillingham.

Ipswich Town 1-1 Lincoln City - Match Report
at 21:29:17

Whilst I will always try my best to remain positive i seriously do not see how some people think we could honestly get top 2. We create hardly any chances. We pass the ball around our end of the pitch and then when try to push forward near enough always give the ball away. We rarely create goal scoring opportunities so I'm sorry I just don't think the players we currently have are a top 2 team. Yes we might have a decent run in but unless we can score more goals we have no chance.

New Setback For Vincent-Young
at 13:41:06

Its nice to see some supportive comments on here for one of our own players who lets be honest is still young and who is having a torrid time with injuries. I appreciate it's a forum and you are entitled to your comments however I fail to see how some so called fans can even consider making stupid thoughtless comments. Please remember that this is their lives that they have known probably since academy days of around 9 years old some even younger. To be getting these reoccurring injuries so close to making a come back is tough to deal with and if persists can even be career threatening. I know players read these forums from time to time so just for a second stop and think how reading some of your dribble might make them feel. Yes some players might be tough enough to skip and read the next comment but personally knowing someone who is having similar issues at premier league club hurtful comments from your own set of fans can get players even more down than they already are. Bring some positivity or say nothing at all.

Ipswich Town 0-1 Peterborough United - Match Report
at 17:31:26

Having had a busy stressful week at work I sat down with a few beers to watch town in the hope they would cheer me up. Before anyone says owt I have supported town since 1990 and have spent a fortune on following them throughout the country and abroad even going to places like Sloban liberec in UEFA cup. I have met the likes of sheepshanks, matt Holland, george burley etc on the old scandinavian pre season tours and I always knew whilst underdogs at times the team spirit and unity of the supporters got us through. I remember the atmosphere in the north stand especially in the play off days against likes of bolton and shef Utd. I have now though had enough. I watched today's game and it was just terrible. It upset me so much to see what we have become. I really dont know whose to blame. Is it Evans who let's be honest has put money in, is it previous managers, is it the players ? I just dont know. What I do know though is that quite frankly the current players we have are just not good enough. I know football shouldn't get me down but I just cant watch this sh*t anymore and whilst I know we have injuries etc and you cant just blame the manager something needs to change because this current situation is making me turn the tv off and to play UNO with the mrs instead. I've had enough !!! Sorry for rant, 6 cans probably hasn't helped my mood.
