Magnus Group New West Stand Sponsors
at 19:53:28

I must say I think Magnus Group have made the most of the exposure on offer with their signage, particularly at the entrance and back of the stands as well as pitch side, great brand awareness for a local company, well done to all involved in putting it together 👏👏

New Era for the football club and by the sounds of things a New Era for Magnus Group, it is great to see a local company prepared to invest in the local community and hopefully both will enjoy success over the coming years.

Ex-Players On Tour of Suffolk
at 20:12:46

EssexBluey - I've just completed the 2 day 150 mile ride. Over 100 people took part raising thousands for the academy, prostrate cancer and other charities. Watching Shaun completed day 1 & 2 was purely inspirational and all the ex players were proud to represent the club and very approachable. I suggest next time you make such stupid childish comments you get your facts right 1st.

Wolves Linked With Town Skipper
at 11:12:18

Not surprised by this at all. Luke very unsettled at the moment. He has been pushing the club on numerous occasions since the summer what is happening with his contract at the end of the season and the club have declined talks. Whether you rate him as a right back or not, he has totally bought into MM playing him out of position, gives 100% week in week out and is club captain . In addition, unlike other players he has moved his young family into the Town and they are all settled. I'm guessing his agent is getting his name about as he is getting very little feedback from the club. Poor once again from ITFC.

McCarthy Delighted With "Prodigious Kids"
at 16:01:46

Quentchev - You obviously don't know all the facts and reasoning behind Charlie Browns decision to move to Chelsea, therefore would suggest it's better not to comment, or suggest it was a bad decision.

With regards to the article, look forward to MM playing the youngsters, but only if they play in their preferred positions. Bishop and Dozzell are not wingers !!

McCarthy Admits Transfer Frustrations
at 10:35:34

Who is truly to blame ?? If the figures quote are correct MM's salary budget has increased 25% in the last year after the playoff's yet last season we missed out on the playoff's by 4 points, not an insignificant amount. Bearing in mind the season we did make the play off's we nearly screwed that up after being in the top 2 going into the New Year, since then we as a club have gone backwards and the football has got worse & worse, with the negative approach particularly at home. What I would much prefer is someone from the club to be open & honest and state that we are going a transitional period, we will be utilising the kids, but the football philosophy will change and we will look to play attractive attacking football. I do believe the only real way we will get fans back to Portman Road is for people to go home enjoying the match, even if we haven't won & watching the youngsters progress. The question though is MM the man for that.

If things stay the same as they have been with dull, negative football, players being played out of position I genuinely feel that we have dark times ahead.

Cambridge United 1-1 Town - Match Report
at 09:17:52

If we are not going to add any real quality and rely on the kids, I have no problem with this at all, BUT MM must change his negative philoshy of grinding out a 1 nil win. The youngsters coming though have all been taught to play football on the deck and pass and move. If we are going to have a transitional season lets change our playing style, we quick moving attacking football. We will lose some and win some but ultimately I think we will all enjoy it more.

Early Bird Season Ticket Deadline Today
at 13:06:10

I have renewed again, but purely for the social with mates on the day, the football has almost become a side issue. I am normally very positive going into the new season but all I can see is more of the same, negative, boring football to sit and endure. IMO the club is on a downward spiral and unless ME is prepared to invest some money, not Tens & tens of Millions but 3-4 Million into the playing squad I think we are going to really struggle.

Fulham Linked With Move for Smith
at 12:52:55

I don't want to see Tommy go, but he is 26, his next contract will probably be his most lucrative as over the next 3 to 4 years he will probably be at his peak. I understand that a new contract was offered to him last season but he didn't sign it, hence why Ipswich triggered the clause for him to stay another year. I assume that the offer from us wasn't acceptable to him, his agent will no doubt of touted him out to various clubs and this is probably why the figure of £750k is being quoted as you are not going to get much more for a average to good championship defender with under a year left on his contract. My issue is the fact that Berra also has a year to run on his contract and it is no secret that he will be off back up to Scotland on a free next season, so would rather us try to keep Tommy but clubs like Fulham will probably double his salary. We are no longer an attractive proposition for anyone unless you are a young player in League 1 or 2 and even then I doubt we would be able to compete financially with 2 thirds of the championship.

Town Chiefs Decide Summer Plans
at 10:15:26

Time will tell, if ME will provide MM with the necessary funds to strengthen with 3 or 4 quality additions over the summer. I believe the Early Bird deadline is extended until July so I am guessing any new additions will need to be in the squad by then IF ME wants to see an increase in season tickets. Ultimately IMO I think it is the style of football and the negative tactics of MM which is the reason for the decline in ST's and as such this decline will continue unless MM totally changes his thought process. What does give me some concern is the comment from ME to MM about not changing what he is doing !!!

Having played in it for 3 years in a row from 2012 to 2014, I can confirm it is a fantastic experience. I also don't think it is expensive taking into consideration everything which you get. For anyone considering it, I would thoroughly recommend it !!

McCarthy: A Real Horrible Game
at 08:51:45

That performance was simply not acceptable and for MM to state in his press conference that it was difficult because Fulham sat behind the ball is also simply not acceptable. You are paid to win football matches, but every time you set us up not to lose. Fulham have been woeful this season, yet we made them look good last night. 2 world class saves from Bart and a last gasp equaliser which I don't believe we deserved stopped another embarrassing defeat. I have serious concerns for next season as our form for the past 3 months is relegation form. I honestly think MM has taken us as far as he can, he appears to be devoid of any fresh ideas or tactics and the rest of the league know how to play against us. Cannot see us winning again this season, and although I have renewed my season ticket, If MM is still here I expect more of the same.
