Although him booking Norwood for diving on the edge of his own box is something that will live long in the memory - good job for him that we didn't score the attacking free kick which resulted from it
In the Burley era, Dad and I used to decide at 2:15pm on a match-day whether we wanted to go (we lived 30 minutes walk away) and were easily to get a ticket in the family closure on the cash turnstiles.
For the record, this was the company behind the Videos/DVD's produced in the last 30 years. As you can see from this, some classic titles are still available for purchase. It looks like they aren't producing anymore which is a shame. Although with YouTube and the like, I'm guessing the demand isn't what it was when they were originally made.
Yes I thought he had a terrific game; when he signed, he was rated as one of the best (if not the best) LB in League 1 at the time. He's therefore mightily unlucky that Davis has proved to be so good. As a back-up though, he's unbelievably useful - but I'd more than understand if he left later this month in search of a regular first team place (probably in a League 1 team like Bristol Rovers or even Derby) - although that of course would be a big loss for us.
Okay so a bit of a weird one here - Edwards' first one V Cambridge.
I'm aware it was probably a fluke - but I was so pleased for him to finally score (and then get a second so soon afterwards). He's evidently a really nice person (as demonstrated by him using his post season free time to help with the soup kitchen the other night) and very popular in the dressing room - mainly because he laughs during virtually every sentence he says.
Also the goal pretty much sealed what (despite not being a derby in our eyes) was still a really good game to win against a team sat behind the ball for most of the game - and one we would have almost certainly have lost/drawn in the past.
For the record, Vaughan was gesturing at Milton sitting in the Directors Box as he'd bet him he'd score. I was sitting in Churchmans and as the corner came over, a man near me shouted "oh that's nice" as it arrowed onto Vaughan's head.
Also is that the worst penalty both in terms of decision and Sedgley's effort?
Lastly RIP Peter Brackley who is the commentator on the highlights. No idea who the summariser is - but he sounds like the most miserable man in Christendom.
