| News Comment | Hurst: I've Every Confidence in Myself, But I'm a Realist at 17:17:36
I'm certainly not one wanting the manager changed at such eatly point in the seasonn. Hurst deserves time to get it right, baring mind that it pretty much is an entirely new team. Although one change is a must and that is to bring back Bart. However, I've had info from a good source that all is not well behind the scenes at the moment. Maybe a change is on the horizon. I was in Southwold yesterday and saw Simon Grayson there. Coincidence? |
| News Comment | Town Launch New Kits at 10:22:41
Personally i like both kits, prefer the orange to the blue. I do have agree with the masses and say the logo is hideous. A good point of protest or voicing of opinion would be the suffolk show if anyone is going over the next two days. Visit the ipswich stall and let them know direct. Fans voicing their opinion works. It got MM out. |
| News Comment | Parker Among Interviewees at 13:27:02
After reading lots of various comments and opinions about who should and shouldn't be the next manager, personally I think every one needs to take a deep breath and calm down. Whoever is appointed isn't going to please everyone as everyone has a different opinion of who it should be. Any manager, whether it be Pep or Jose, or someone with zero managerial experience is going to be gamble. Every day there is a new name in the frame. There are some that I, like everyone else, would want or be willing to give them a chance, Ross, White, Hurst and the like. And some that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole, Pardew, MaClaren and dear God no Holloway (would rather have MM back) Let's wait and see, personally I wouldn't be unhappy with only of the 3 I mentioned earlier, Ross, White or Hurst. |
| News Comment | Ex-England Boss McClaren Linked With Town at 17:57:30
I, like so many others are sick to the back teeth of being told be careful what you wish for by so called fans and expert pundits alike. Why shouldn't we wish to a young hungry manager with fresh ideas, who doesn't want a massive amount of money. Who would be willing to, given enough time, work with what appears to be a decent crop of youngsters coming through. Dozzell, Downes to name just two. Mix them up with a bit of experience, we've the best keeper in the championship and probably half the premier league. So lets wish for better things. Starting with shaking MM's hand paying the rest of his contract now and move on. Get a manager in now to have look over the next 8 games and see what he thinks needs to be done. Personally, I believe it should be someone who has a connection with the club to enable it to reconnect with the fans. However, having reading a recent interview my first choice now would be, and I know he has a connection with the numpties from Norfolk but so did Joe royale and he did a good job, Tim Sherwood. He's available straight away, you could sack MM on Monday morning and he could start Monday afternoon. |
| News Comment | Skuse: Derby Win Could Spark Play-Off Push at 18:30:07
Am I the only one that deep down wants the scum to win? I can see it now come Monday morning, the town derby victory in nine years ME thinks MM is a genius and gives him a new 4 year contract. |
| News Comment | Chambers: Still in There Fighting But We Need Fans' Backing at 17:09:46
Would appear that even Barnsley don't want MM, they would rather get a manager from the second tier of Scottish football! Says it all really. But one thing does stand out though, he's young and plays football and his team is top of the league by a distance. |
| News Comment | McCarthy in France at 19:26:52
Buff your right, look at what he's had to work with. Let's look. Firstly MM has been at the club long enough now to have 10 transfer Windows to create a squad, yes lots of loans but its down to the manager to to train and improve the players he brings in weather permanent or not. Other clubs with restricted budgets have managed to get the best out players with limited resources. Bristol city spring to mind. One case and point, Chris Wood, MM got him and turned him into nothing more than a Sunday league player with the touch of rhino. He goes elsewhere, Leeds, his manager gets him s orang for fun and now he's in the premier league. Let's not forget Bret Pittman, How many times did MM cal, him the best finisher at the club but never played him. Only one person to blame, MICK MCCARTHY. |
| News Comment | Milne: Owner Evans Very Aware of "Rift" at 17:06:50
I have to agree with 99% of everything that's been said regarding the state of the club. Significant investment should have been made the year we scraped into the playoffs, top on boxing day and flying. FFP rules were an easy cop out as other teams without parachute payments have taken a chance and its paid off, Bournemouth springs to mind. MM has to go and go now weather that be barnsley or the dole Que. ME needs to decide what path he wants to take, full commitment or sell to someone who will give it their all. This once great club which s currently on life support needs a new lease of life and quickly because eventually instead of the premier league its going to be league 1. Sir Bobby will be turnihg in his grave. |
