Chops was fantastic today. The 2 he did score however would have been tame in comparison if that first half volley hadn't hit the keeper.Are Brighton normally that negative.Reminded me of Scunthorpe a couple of years ago. Their away support must be easily entertained. |

Priskin was in a good run November-January. Maybe not scoring loads of goals but the Bobby Robson were chanting his name because of his effort.Possibly because of transfer window but who cares. Then PJs mate Scotland threw a hissy fit and priskin loses his place. Time to give him another chance. Cannot be any worse. |

A succession of high scoring strikers have come to this club and immediately have suffered single figure goal-scoring seasons most recently Priskin and Scotland. When is the penny going to drop that it is the supply to them that has always been the problem and not the players themselves.
Too many long straight balls from the back easily dealt with by defenders who can cope with them all day.
Chopra yesterday was having to come too deep just to see the ball in the second half completely nullifying our strike force. JET although a little wasteful at times was at least trying to support him and got taken off for his trouble.
New CBs need to be found for cover. Smith always looks like he has a mistake in him and some of Delaneys passing was awful.
Also in the second half the players looked unfit. Two games into the season and some of them looked burnt out.

Enjioyed the game but it is obvious that we still need another commanding centre half. All corners from Bristol yesterday that were out of Stockdales reach were won by Bristol players who fortunately couldn't hit the target. May get found out against better teams. |

How does the calculated gamble of only having 2 strikers look now? Could Murray and Priskin have been any worse. 2-0 down and take off your centre forward for a midfielder. Just about sums it up. Give out of contract players till monday to sign or drop them and prepare for next season. |

With the dressing room unrest hinted at by G Mac this is probably a sign of things to come especially if all money for transfer window has been used to pay off RK and staff. Should have settled for lower table finish and started again next year. I now think we will go down especially as the probable new manager is already rejected by half the fans. Only the fans can save the club so lets get behind them. We will still be here when ME/SC long gone. |

RK himself didn't ruin this club, that process has been going on for some time now just after the 5th place in the Prem and suddenly thinking it was going to continue. The building of 2 huge stands filled about 3 times since and big money panic signings by Burley/Sheepshanks(although at least he did seem to care about the club) started the rot, which apart from a brief spell under Joe Royle has slowly been eating away at the soul of the club. Now with ME only here to boost his business and a non football man like Clegg running the show I'm afraid that the decline will continue (please let me be wrong). Whoever the new man is will start with at least 50% of the supporters against him. The fans have a major part to play to stop the decline. |

It would be good to think that whoever is appointed will get the full support of the fans that he is going to need to get us out of this mess. Too many fans have their pre-conceived ideas about who they want and their constant moaning doesn't help. Prior to Joe Royles arrival a lot of fans voiced their opposition and he turned out to be the best of the recent bunch. I hope everyone can put aside their opinions and just support the club. |

Four home defeats this season to teams that I believe we beat last season. That shows the progress. Didn't join in cheering of Barnsley but felt it was a protest against RK rather than team itself.
In my opinion individually there is nothing wrong with the players but the lack of tactics and the players out of position is causing the problem.
Not only do we need recognised full backs pushing on but also a return to "good old fashioned wingers". Can anybody remember the last time someboby got to the by-line and crossed to the middle thereby turning the central defenders . All the balls from wide come in from too far upfield which defenders can see all the way.
We also need a dead ball player who can take free kicks. With GL out yesterday I was hoping someone would step up to the plate but afraid just same old.
We also put ourselves under too much pressure at corners by bringing all 10 back
and giving us no out ball.
The reaction at the sub of TP shows the depth of feeling among the fans which needs sorting out. Mind you it won't be as loud next time as the crowds begin to dwindle away.
