| News Comment | Jewell Still Has Backing of Bosses at 23:08:01
I think Jewell is looking for a financial settlement and the club don't want to pay the compensation as they think he is close to walking. If Jewell walks then the club doesn't have to pay out. If Jewell gets sacked then there is also likely to be compensation to pay for Hutchings,McCarthy, probably Liddell. Whilst Jewell and his "support" team are only contracted to the end of this season, it would not be a cheap dismissal. We need a messiah rather than a new manager, there is only one person that fits the bill and that is Terry Butcher. Ipswich fan, Ipswich player, Ipswich captain, Ipswich legend. Realistically, Billy Davies would be my choice when Jewell goes. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Henderson Signing Will Add Competition at 22:09:05
Henderson will start on Saturday which I think will be a bit harsh on Loach. Loach needs to command his area more but is a decent shot stopper. I think ALB will be on the bench. The football club used have a soul and had a way of doing things that was the envy of most clubs, now it is just a painful joke. Half of the team at least on Saturday are likely to be loan / short contract players who will are struggling for match fitness or rusty through lack of games. Is it any wonder that we are second bottom when we keep building our foundations with quicksand. |
| News Comment | Clegg: Harry Speculation Laughable at 21:26:00
2010/2011 - Preston relegated after 11 seasons in the championship 2011/2012 - Coventry relegated after 11 seasons in the championship 2012/2013 - Ipswich's 11th season in the championship. At the time of their relegations both Preston and Coventry were the longest serving championship team and we took over that longest serving championship team mantle from Coventry. Normally I would not be overly bothered by such a trend, but we are so rudderless on and off the pitch at the moment, that this stat is beginning to cause me concern. |
| News Comment | Jewell: A Rude Awakening at 22:08:47
I would like to see us playing with three centre backs, with Tommy on the left of a three. The lad can play but he always seem to have an error in him. Tommy played on the left of three central defenders for New Zealand at the last world cup and did well. Cressy and Carlos I think would very suited to playing as wing backs. Yesterday was horrible, I was at the game as well but hopefully this young team will learn from it. COYB |

I don't think there is a big gulf between us and the very best teams in this division. We were undone by two basic mistakes and got punished for both. If we are going to progress we have got to give ourselves a chance by stopping making so many basic errors in defensive areas. After their second goal they then just picked us off at ease as we chased the game. Fair play to them they were very clinical and the lad Ince was superb. I am a lot more positive about the team and PJ this season but they need to learn from this defeat and quickly. It been a long time since I've seen so many Ipswich fans head for the exit so early. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Draw Was Least We Deserved at 21:42:30
A good point and plenty of positives to take from the game. Hyam man of the match for me. Hopefully he will be given a good run in the team this season. Two tough away league games coming up but I think we can going into those games with a lot of confidence. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Blackburn Opener Big Test for Youngsters at 23:00:15
No need to fear anyone this division, we can go into any game home or away and win. One or two new additions would be good and I am sure they will arrive before the transfer window closes. COYB |

Craig Gordon is an excellent shout. Failing that can we get Super Cooper back from Tenerife. |
| News Comment | Leeds Faltering in Race for Ward at 00:08:47
I can't believe that we are still talking about this average player, who does not want to play for the club. I hope he signs for someone else and quickly. |
| News Comment | Five or Six Sides Chasing Portsmouth's Ward at 20:43:47
We are lucky to have Marcus Evans at the football club. Since when has an owner of a football club ever really known too much about football. There are not too many benefactors about and even less who pick up £5 million plus losses every year. However his choices of Clegg, Keane and Jewell so far have been poor. |
