Goodman was not rude or insulting about Ipswich. He just thought we would fall away from the top two during the season. And to be honest so did I. I am delighted that both him and me were wrong. We should not criticise him for getting a sport prediction wrong. We have all done that.

He was an intelligent defender who played well for us and contributed to our success. He has management experience and appears to have a good relationship with Paul Cook. Looks to be a good appointment.

When are all the McCarthy haters going to admit that they were wrong? He made us a top-half of the table Championship team on a shoestring budget whilst continually being forced to sell his best players.
Let's not make the same mistake twice. We're all disappointed and hurting BUT we have a good manager who will (hopefully soon) sort out our defence.
Now more than any other is the time for us fans to get behind our team and manager.

We were stupid to get rid of McCarthy.
Had one of the lowest wage bills in the Championship.
Kept on having to sell our best players every other year.
And still managed to make us into a top half of the league table team most years, often challenging for playoffs.
Now look at us. We've got exactly what we deserve.
