If I was lucky enough to have a ticket I would be getting a few fans together chipping in £50 , hiring a private coach and parking up outside Carrot rd with a coach full of ale at 8 am . No train strike worries , no worries about that shower not letting us have a few beers before the game even they get there own juicer when at Portman road . |

Whether people “deserve” a ticket is a little beside the point in this instance. The club have decided to operate a new membership scheme. This season and the details were advertised as below in July 2023
“Typical sales window for home league games:
Monday, 10am – Super Blues members who are not season ticket holders.
Wednesday, 10am – Super Blues members who are season ticket holders.
Friday, 10am – Season ticket holders.
Monday, 10am – General sale.
The Club reserves the right to monitor attendances and add additional priority levels to sales “
It does mention “additional” priority levels for certain games . However it doesn’t say it will add restrictions or completely withdraw the right for someone with a membership to buy a ticket for a home game if they haven’t bought 3 home tickets in advance . Under consumer law you can’t sell a membership advertised as one thing and then withdraw that whenever you wish ! I have 3 home tickets but a lot of my friends due to work , family , living abroad or in other parts of the UK don’t . That’s exactly why they have bought a membership . Only for the club to change the terms and conditions . They have been stiffed by the club on this . The FAQ questions section of the membership package provided by the club also states ….
“6. How does becoming a 23/24 member differ from being a Silver member in previous seasons?
A. As a non-season ticket holder, you can also be a member and enjoy the same benefits of the membership as season ticket holders. You will be given priority to purchase one home ticket over season ticket holders as well as being able to earn points on away ticketing purchases.”
It doesn’t mention here restrictions for certain games at all nor does it mention restrictions ANYWHERE before they “mis-sold” the membership .
Certainly anyone with 3 home games should get priority as an “ additional priority level “ as mentioned above . But after that they should legally honour what they have sold the membership packages as and give priority to members before selling season ticket holders an additional ticket . And certainly before they go on General sale . And then next year add in the “ restrictions “ when selling the membership . Legally and morally .
