Tom Eaves from Gillingham is out of contract this summer and believe he scored 20 goals in L1 this season. A target man, I'm sure he'll be on our radar. |

The videos/photos posted on Twitter from the club normally shows Chambo and he wasn't in it today. Big match for the defence. |
| Forum Thread | Run after the International Break at 09:54 3 Oct 2018
The 5 games after the next International Break are: QPR (H) Leeds (A) Millwall (A) PNE (H) Reading (A) The way things are going, this is looking like a season defining period. The question is will Hurst be in charge for these games? You would hope 2 weeks working with the squad leads to improve on the pitch, but that certainly didn't materialise after the previous break. This was never going to be an easy start for Hurst, so much change and an entire new backroom staff. Despite all the rumours, I don't see how sacking Hurst now would produce anything positive. 10 games is nothing, we have to try and ride out this storm, and become a better unit for it. A vaguely similar e.g. is of Lee Johnson at Bristol City, who have been through some dreadful runs, but have stuck with him, which is great credit to the owners. |

It's quite bizarre the complete change and uncertainty regarding the formation/squad. I thought Grimsby/Shrewsbury fans had said he very rarely deviates from this formation and philosophy. Like many have said, this is the worrying part of what has happened so far, his seemingly complete dismissal of what was worked upon in pre-season and in the past. Although, so much has already changed since the pre-season games in terms of personnel, it may require another 'pre-season' to occur mid-season. But I thought that would have happened in the 1st international break. |

I thought their RB had a good game as well, especially considering it was his first league start. |

I think the main thing to take away from these first six games is the fact that the players from yesterday have had such little time to get to know their new team-mates and the manager's style of play. Yesterday's team had 4 staters from our final pre-season match against West Ham (Spence, Chambers, Knudsen and Edwards), and just 2 from the Barnet match a week earlier (Skuse and Chambers). I think it's very difficult to assess this start, as it feels like what we have seen in these 6 games is unlikely to replicated in the next 40. These two weeks seems like Pre-Season 2, but this time with the squad as it is now being the squad we will have going forward. |

He seems to have a lot of attributes to be a CB, wonder if that he where he may end up playing. |

I don't think him going out on loan to a L1 team and being a regular would do any harm for him. It seems he is unlikely to be a regular here, especially should the injured players come back- a season in the U23s would be of little benefit. Just a surprise we haven't seen any links with him going out on loan, although maybe Hurst is waiting for Rowe/Bishop to be fully fit before letting him leave. |

There doesn't seem to be much news on any outgoings. It would be good to see a couple of the younger players go to a league club. Interesting to see Emmanuel playing for the U23s and not in the 18 for the first team yet, wonder if he could be off again. |
| Forum Reply | Clutching at straws a bit, and I know its about scoring goals at 11:46 22 Aug 2018
Although we have conceded a few goals already, in general open play we are not conceding many chances. It's good to have this solid base and although we are currently lacking going forward, it's good to see a solid foundation for the team to be built around. |
