I created this profile when you got relegated to League 1 and wrote a long post about how we (Leicester) had been through it and came back rejuveated as a club and you would too.
Safe to say it's time to change my username as you are well and truly bounced back to the big time. 😉

We are absolutely horrendois and have pissed away a golden chance to establish ourselves as a top 10 prem side for many years through 3 years of mismanagement. Both Rodgers and at board level. We deserve all the years ahead in the Championship that are waiting us.
Silver lining this year for me is of course Ipswich going up. I reckon you'll take 4 points off us next year and finish a couple of places higher. |

Would be the perfect weekend following Ipswich going up for City to get out of the bottom 3 and simultaneously plunge a dagger into Everton and Dyche's hearts.
I think you'll be able to keep Hirst regardless of the division we're next year to be honest. |

So pleased for Ipswich. You boys totally deserve this, great support despite years and years of suffering. Great club, it's brilliant to see you on an upwards trajectory at last.
For context I created this account when you went down. Things have come full circle. It might be time to delete my account or at least change name.
From a Leicester fan, adopted Ipswich fan and serial forum lurker.
Hope we play you in 2 years time in the top league. Looks like we'll probably be playing you next year as it is.

Leicester fan (and Ipswich fan) we have invested heavily in facilities, we have a genuine world class training facility at a place called Seagrave and its a big pull for players.
We do also have stadium expansion plans that I think are pending approval but not up to date on it.
This has come at the cost of investing in the squad, but should we be able to stay up this year our baseline is a lot higher than the Southamptons or Crystal Palaces of the world.
Part of it is the enduring legacy from the PL win and recent Champs league appearances which give you credibility in the bank. We've been a top 10 side for a run of years and still when having a woeful season under an incompetent manager look good to stay up. |

I am a Leicester fan but Ipswich are very much my 2nd team and lurk on here most days without posting, because I only watch highlights of the games and as such can't really comment knowlegeably. Unless Leicester come up in conversation!
It's much easier to become passionate about Ipswich's promotion push rather than our pathetic attempts to finish 17th this year. |

Most of what's written in the thread is true. We have been clobbered by the new FFP rules which is mostly designed to keep any clubs aspiring to break the glass ceiling in their place.
We signed some duffers last season and are now paying for it.
It is also true that Rodgers is throwing his toys out the pram because he's not being backed, well it's his fault for wasting a lot of money last summer.
How it relates to you and Hirst I don't know but I would imagine we are keener to hold onto young prospects like Hirst now then we would be if we had more cash in the coffers. |

Leicester fan here, we don't have an option up front in the style of Hirst but it's extremely likely Rodgers will let him go, whether sale or loan, since he wants first team football by all accounts. Hope you get him as he's a talented lad and shame on us for not using him more. |

These threads have got to stop. Same as the bloke who posted saying I can't see us conceding vs Oxford and then guess what happens.
Enough arrogance and tempting fate... Ipswich aren't going to piss the league next year it will be a real struggle and you can forget about ever going up if you can't break a defensive team down at home. |

I don't even primarily support Ipswich and find them horribly frustrating 😔 at times feels like a cursed club. But I do believe you'll go up next year. Keep the faith! |

Yes I absolutely believe in tempting fate. Anyway the dude has recognised it was a silly post so, it is what it is. Ultimately I think ITFC fall short of playoffs whether winning today or not. |
