| News Comment | Loan Interest in Humphreys But Blues Assessing Midfielder and Baggott's Plans For Season at 18:19:03
Same goes for Elkin really. Isn't he left-footed and looks comfortable on the ball. We're not overrun with Centre Backs, although a first choice selection is definitely on the radar, so I can see him getting some game-time this season if we keep the faith. That said, in Ashton & McKenna we trust. They've not got much wrong so far!! |
| News Comment | Loan Interest in Humphreys But Blues Assessing Midfielder and Baggott's Plans For Season at 18:14:11
Town fans need to see the 'youth' players progressing to the 1st X1 squad and getting game time on a Saturday. At the moment, we only have 'Woolfy' as one of our own and Humphries proved in the first half of last season that he can cut the mustard (excuse the deliberate reference to our 6-fingered neighbours). I would hate to see him hoovered up by a Premier league team to rot in their Premiership B team and we lose out on a diamond player |
| News Comment | McKenna: Humphreys Unlikely to Make Loan Exit at 16:17:42
OK, I'm starting to see the logic now, as it was starting to concern me about the lack of 1st team opportunities for our youngsters. Corrie will defo benefit playing Centre back for another league one club. Burton are not likely to be challenging for promotion, so he might well help them achieve a few shutouts against some of the better teams. With Cameron, however, he is obviously a highly prized asset, who will get opportunities off the bench this season, especially with the new 5 from 7 substitution role. Maybe a few starts will beckon at home, a little later in the season. In McK we trust. |

Shame, I always thought he brought something to the party when he came on as a sub, injecting some pace and enthusiasm. Maybe needed to work on his end product and certainly had a temper on him, but think this might be one we learn to regret. PC must have sent him on loan to Colchester to get some gametime, which presumably didn't work out due to their relegation battle, but must still think highly of him |
| News Comment | Town Rebuff Simpson Offers at 14:18:07
KMc was never going to play him with the stance he took returning from Swindon and refusing to sign a new contract. The boy must be getting bad advice from family, friends or his agent, as he should be able to see that the Town need strikers. I'm confident that KMc has the man-management skills to deal with this, if there is a future to be had here for TS. Just use the Woolfy situation as a benchmark |
| News Comment | Bonne: Unfinished Business at Town at 14:08:25
Lots of good comment here. 1) Pigott not the answer and he was given plenty of opportunity. We would have to get him off the books though to sign MB permanently 2) I agree with MB being offside a lot, but surely this is just a technical thing that can be coached by KMc? 3) I hadn't heard about MB's off-field problems, but that must have been an awful time for them and would be bound to affect anyone's performance at work. Footballers are human beings after all, not robots 4) You could never fault MB's hard work and effort, especially being an Ipswich boy. A bit of luck in the 2nd half of the season and he would have been the 20-goal a season striker we need. Conclusion: Get him in permanently if we can get Pigott off the books (maybe a loan) or on loan from QPR if not |

Great news. For once, I genuinely think it is about tie-ing in a player for the long-term rather than increasing his transfer value (though it obviously achieves both objectives) |

arc. It always makes sense to pick up on the option to extend for a year to protect your investment. We paid a lot of money for Jackson and I'm sure clubs have come in trying to 'take him off our hands', but I do believe that the new management will hold out for a fee |
| News Comment | Lambert: I'm Sure the Fans Will Get Right Behind Us at 22:04:03
I'm very jealous of those season ticket holders lucky enough to get the chance to go along to Portman Road and support OUR team. Some of us live a little too far away to justify the cost to see a limited amount of games, so please don't let us down and give the lads your all. Whatever your personal feelings towards the Manager or the Owner, the players and the club deserve your unconditional support. The consequences of not getting out of League 1 this season and the effect of the salary cap does not even bear thinking about, so COYB!! |

Back 4 were poor as a unit and not Chambo's fault. Dobra excellent & good to get so minutes in the legs for Huws & Edwards. Judge much improved after his poor touches on Sat, so hope he's turned the corner. Dozzell looked totally uninterested, in the first half especially. Downes, Rowe & Jackson all improved the momentum & creativity. Defo need another striker tho. Roberts worked really hard, but is not a target man. We go again on Saturday. COYB!! |

He'll be a perfect foil for the young guys, as he is a natural leader. This is excellent news. You have to have some experience in the team. As for some of you criticising Skuse too. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! |
