Funny to see this thread with the same old whinging as the thread a year ago. I blame the ownership, MA, KM, the players, etc. So inconsiderate of them to bring us something to celebrate again. Never had these issues when ME and MMc were about. Hoping for the same again for Spring Bank Holiday next year when we celebrate our qualification for the Champions League. |

Well worth listening to Kayden interview, it's in the BBC Radio Suffolk match coverage on YouTube, link in the 5 hours of Brenner thread on here |

Just watched the sky highlights, first half Davis plays the ball across the box, comes to OH, attempts to left foot curl it over defenders into top left corner, and misses when receiving it on his right would have given him more options. Second half a great run from OH at the defence, using his favoured left foot as he should do, gets into the box, JS free to his left unmarked, needed a simple right footed pass to him but OH went for goal with his left, deflected over. OH has got a lot of quality and potential but needs to broaden his game by making use of his right foot when appropriate if he's going to make it higher. |

He's too one footed at this stage, the inability to use his right foot really shows when he's playing right side for us. |

Hutch has a lot of quality but he's in the wrong position for a very one footed player. We miss Wes greatly and Hirst who has far more to his game than Moore. |

Don't think they have had a ground of their own for a while but might have one in the Truro area for next season. |

They had a ground share with Parkway but ended that earlier this year due to the state of the pitch and postponements, then tried a ground share with Taunton, didn't last long for same reasons, Gloucester have a 3G so they hope no more postponements. My local club Chelmsford played them there recently on a Saturday evening, as Gloucester played a home game that lunchtime. |

Harlow like Basildon is a post - war new town with no history, formed with overspill cockneys en masse, very different from the rest of the county. |

Yes, to be fair their ground is almost in Essex, the county border runs past it. |

West Essex and the M11 corridor are a different world for most of us in the rest of the county. |

Stortford have never had Essex derbies as it's in Hertfordshire. |

Or Torquay or Truro which are further away than Blyth |

As I said, not knocking the club at all. The club has not used the i word in their announcements about this anywhere and IMO didn't need to give any reasons. Just had noticed that many posters used the i word on this thread, show how conditioned people have become to prices, in a general sense, going up, which IMO is for the benefit of the few. Too many prices go up because they can be not because they have to be. That's the real rich man's world. |

Not knocking Town at all. The increase is not a surprise to me, I expected worse given good old capitalist supply and demand. Unfortunately annual price rises in all things has become an accepted business device, blaming "inflation" while actually contributing to "inflation" regardless of how much actual costs specific to the product or service have changed. Even saw an article the other day regarding "fears" that "inflation" could drop to 2% which was said to be "too low". It's a racket to keep screwing the majority while the greedy minority get richer and richer. |

Interesting to see that as many of us suspected we had a significant financial advantage over the rest of the division last season, could even argue that second place was underachieving, well done Plymouth, whereas this season as we already know we have a massive disadvantage against the trampoline payment clubs and are hugely overachieving. Shows what a great job McKenna has done, this season. |
| Forum Reply | Well done Paul Cook! at 18:02 23 Mar 2024
Cook was only ever a stopgap until Ashton and O'Leary were ready to make the radical changes to the coaching structure and philosophy. He did what was essential by clearing out the false idols and other remnants of Evans's era of mediocrity for which we should be eternally grateful. |
