Town Announce Shorts Sponsor
Tuesday, 29th May 2018 17:14

Town have agreed their first ever shorts sponsorship deal with local estate agent Nicholas Estates. The Blues will unveil their new adidas home and away kits later today, a new contract having been agreed with the kit manufacturer last week.

The five-figure shorts deal will run for the next three seasons with the Nicholas Estates name appearing on first-team and replica shorts.

“The club has worked closely with Nicholas Estates for over 10 years now,” Town’s director of sales, Rosie Richardson, told the club site. "

“They have sourced properties for the players, managers and club staff who have bought or rented homes here in Suffolk and I am delighted that Nicholas Estates will now feature on the first-team and replica shorts. "

“There are great synergies between both organisations with Nicholas Estates being customer-focused, as we are with our supporters.”

""Nicholas Estates director Nick Golding added: “I am so pleased that we have been able to further establish our working relationship with Ipswich Town.""

“Since starting the business we have assisted the club year in and year out with their temporary and permanent accommodation requirements. "

“This goes back as far as Joe Royle and Shefki Kuqi, who where some of our first clients.

“Over the years we have been pleased to class many players and staff as our friends and that reputation we’ve gained is always a fantastic talking point when dealing with other supporters and the general public on a daily basis.""

“As part of this sponsorship commitment we are pleased to announce a 15 per cent discount off our standard fees for all season ticket holders looking to sell and rent out their property.

""“Here’s hoping for a fantastic World Cup this summer and a great season ahead for Ipswich Town.”

As long as the players don't take to the field in a knickerless state.

I'll see myself out...

These conveniently located shorts offer and excellent opportunity for talented young professionals. Easy to maintain with excellent transport links and pleasing north facing aspect where one can look down upon the neighbors. £25 ONO.

If you want to be a customer of the shorts sponsor, I would stay away from the shirt sponsor.

an estate agents on the shorts and a gambling company on the shirt. perhaps we should see if we can get a lapdance club to sponsor the socks. we'll be trying to find sponsors for the 3 stars next!

At the end of the day i guess it is a local company and it brings money in. Let's be honest this is being done to cover the cost of reduction of ticket prices.

Is there a decimal point in that five figure sum?

Very sad that that footballers will soon look like F1 drivers with logos' on the front and back of shirts and shorts. Where next sleeves? Here in Canada there are no sponsors on (ice) hockey jerseys, just the team logo

Real supporters, support the club, what the team is wearing is of a secondary nature.
What the Club needs is for the Ipswich community to again embrace Ipswich Town FC.
It is a very important part of this towns history, the musical Our Blue Heaven at The Wolsey Theatre was a shining light of our past. Real support is required NOW!

I'm amazed this has taken so long to happen lots of clubs already have a sponsor on the shorts. No need to whinge about it as the extra revenue is needed.

Nicholas Estates are a good local company with a number of offices in and around Ipswich. They are perfect sponsors. I know for a fact that the company is run by ITFC supporters. Local company, employing local people. They actually have some relevance to the club and have some integrity about them. Shame we cant say the same about the shirt sponsors.
