Webster Completes Millwall Move
Tuesday, 24th Jun 2014 13:53

Ex-Yeovil central defender Byron Webster has completed his switch to Millwall, signing a two-year deal. The 27-year-old was watched by the Blues, along with his former team-mate Luke Ayling, during the latter stages of 2013/14, while Leeds, Rotherham and Scunthorpe had also been linked.

Right-back or midfielder Ayling, who like Webster is out of contract this summer, is understood to have been of greater interest to Town. The Glovers would be due compensation for the ex-Arsenal youngster as he is only 22 years of age.

Meanwhile, Town duo Tyrone Mings and Frank Nouble are currently taking part in some pre-pre-season training at St George’s Park, the National Football Centre. The pair have enrolled in a Michael Johnson Performance course.

The Blues squad are due to return to Playford Road on Thursday and Friday to undergo tests and be assessed ahead of the start of pre-season proper next Monday.

Another linked player gone to a big club.We are clearly in big trouble if we dont improve our small squad thats got even smaller over the summer.I hope MM has a few surprises up his sleeve.Every day I see teams getting a few guys in but as usual its all quiet at PR nothing unusual there.

What im saying by big club is players are opting to sign for smaller clubs than us as we see most summers. To many links going other ways as we are no longer attractive

Have you thought that maybe just maybe MM and TC didn't think he was good enough for Ipswich Town. Did it occur to you that maybe we never actually put a bid in for him.

There is no point in signing loads of players for loads of money (which the club don't have) you have to trust the management.

Look at all the cash Spurs spent on so called world class players last season and did they get into the top 4?

No idea why this is even being reported.
ITFC looked at the Yeovil full back there is no way we would ever have been interested in this lad,a very ordinary player who will struggle to get a regular spot in the wall team let alone ITFC.

Rubbish reporting

Patience our signings will come we have the best manager in this league
