Fans travelling by train to Saturday’s friendly at Barnet should note that the Jubilee Line is only running as far as West Hampstead this weekend and therefore won’t get as far as Canons Park, which is right next to the Bees’ new home, The Hive (KO 3pm).

Supporters should instead take the Northern Line to Edgware, around a mile from Canons Park, and then travel on to the ground from there. There are frequent buses, the number 79 or 340 from bus stop C and Travelcards are valid on buses as well as Tubes.

We’re told that pub choices around Canons Park are limited, so it's better to go via Edgware anyway if you want a beer or two before the game.

Fans wanting to take up Barnet's buy one get one free ticket offer are reminded that the deadline for doing so is noon tomorrow. Full details here.

Are tickets available to buy on the gate? Also is there an away section or are the fans mixed? Anyone know? Should be good, first game at their new stadium!

Essex there are two sections for away fans today one is seated on the side and one is standing on an end as far as I'm aware. Tickets are able to be bought up until kickoff however the BOGOF per expires at noon. http://www.barnetfc.com/news/article/bogof-tickets-before-12pm-924753.aspx is the info in full.

Edgware is rubbish for beers. There is a 340 bus that goes from there to Stanmore high street that takes 10 mins where there is a Spoons pub. The same bus goes back to Cannons Park and takes a few mins. Probably the best local option with better food choices too. There's a rubbish bar and curry house opposite Cannons Park that is worth avoiding and likely to be busy
