Tabb, Hewitt and Nouble Start at Peterborough
Saturday, 9th Mar 2013 14:16

Jay Tabb makes his Blues debut, Frank Nouble his first Town start and Elliott Hewitt his first Blues start in the league in today’s crucial relegation six-pointer at Peterborough. Skipper Carlos Edwards is only considered fit enough for a place on the bench due to the groin injury that saw him miss the midweek trip to Nottingham Forest, while Michael Chopra is out with a dead leg and Lee Martin and Richard Stearman are suspended.

Overall, Mick McCarthy makes four changes with Hewitt coming in at right-back, Nouble up front alongside the returning David McGoldrick with Daryl Murphy dropping to the bench. New loan signing Tabb will be in Martin’s usual role on the left of midfield

Andy Drury keeps his place at right midfield in Edwards’s absence with Luke Chambers again wearing the armband. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas returns to the 18 after missing the trip to the City ground due to illness.

Peterborough include former Blues loanee Tyrone Barnett amongst their subs. Full match preview here.
