Peters Training at Yeovil
Tuesday, 20th Nov 2012 22:17

Former Blue Jaime Peters is training with his former loan club Yeovil Town, having left Portman Road earlier in the season.

The 25-year-old had his contract terminated by mutual consent in August, having rarely been involved during Paul Jewell's time at the club.

The Canadian international spent the second half of the 2007/08 season on loan at Huish Park, scoring once in 12 starts and two sub appearances.

Earlier in the season Peters spent time on trial with Leyton Orient.

Never really good enough. Still better than every single member of our current squad though.

Best memory of peters is when we beat norwich 3-2 at home and he played left back! he tore that side apart!

His performance against Arsenal at home in the cup was outstanding. He never played again. Classic talent that was never fully utilised by the madness of management

before people comment, he was our longest serving player, so please spell his name right. it's jaime, not jamie, there's a difference. best of luck though, jaime! decent little player!

This lad was only small but his work rate was second to none.
I liked him and i thought he had bags of energy and i thought he was quite talented and i used to love he little runs he made down the wings and he was a good crosser of the ball.
I think his size put managers off.
But size is not everthing its how you use it.

I would rather see him in either of the full back positions than anyone we currently have at the club (excluding Hewitt who is an unknown quantity)

The best thing about Jaime Peters is i've never heard any fan/player/manager or anybody ever say a bad word about him, top bloke and very useful player. Wish him all the best!

Indeed. When dropped he was one who put his head down and focussed on his game rather than bad mouthing to the press. A good team player who added pace to the team if a bit weak otherwise. A bit vulnerable at full back but was useful cover on the wings. At his best he could run a tired full back ragged coming off the bench. Does a lot off the ball that isn't always appreciated such as running into space and drawing defenders out to cover him allowing openings elsewhere.

Usual nostalgic crap from a number of our fans .He was poor apart from a few games over 8 seasons . He was truly dreadful on loan at Bournemouth last year and as yet still not been offered a contract by anyone .
And as for him being in above anyone else at the club ,including our player of the year last season is a joke

...... may have stood a much better chance here now that we have a Manager who I'm sure would have given him a chance.

Good to see him get another chance - definitely got potential playing for the right Manager.
