Town are offering fans the chance to definitively vote on whether goal celebration music will be played at Portman Road, and if so which tune will ring around the stands.
Some of the tracks up for the vote are the ones supplied to the Supporters’ Club when they asked for original tunes last season, while the new version of Singing the Blues played at the Southampton game, The Fratellis’ Chelsea Dagger and the options of none of the above or no music at all are also on the list.
To hear all the choices and to vote, visit the club site with the results to be announced prior to the Coventry City match on Monday 19th September.
Meanwhile, fans will be given the chance to celebrate their own Portman Road goals via an auction to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Breakthrough Breast Cancer later in the year.
Bidders will be able to win a place in the teams for the match and training sessions under the guidance of Town stars from Robson’s era, while there will also be the opportunity to be a ‘club owner’ and sit in the directors’ box and make use of the boardroom facilities. Sir Bobby’s Breakthrough Auction will take place in October.

Let's Go Town by Asa Jennings a song that was written for Ipswich, by an Ipswich fan, when asked to do so by an Ipswich legend that is Fabian Wilnis with many other Ipswich legends taken part in it's production. It's original, so we won't be copying another club. And it's a catchy song and the video is superb.
People talk about creating our own atmosphere but PR is like a Library at the best of times.
If they want to improve the atmosphere, put the away fans at the other end of the Cobbold so they can have some banter with the Sir Bobby stand !
With music it excites the fans, we have a little dance and it makes PR sound louder than when we score with no music and £18,000 fans just stand there clapping !
Worst music. Need to have something that gets you all proper buzzing and ready to get another goal. Hate to say the N word but when we went away to norwich there music must of made them wana kill I thought I recon there music is what helps win there games just by pumping them up.

@ wickedblue.....no offence to Asa and all who worked on it but that is not enough reason to have a song played........I don't want any music....but if we are to have any it should not be embarrassing!
@ robdaful..........that sounds like a tune that should only be played when you are pi*sed at xmas time!.......Oh how I envisage Roy Wood and some snow covered Wombles singing it!
I'm not a fan of music after goals, but if one does get chosen I hope it's Asa's, he is a die hard fan and a huge local talent. I recall seeing footage of a Galstasary match and they played a song from rocky after they scored and it was immense lol, all the crowd joined in. I'd love to have it for when Chopra 'Rocky' scores.
Every goal, or indeed every incident on the field of play, is uniquely different. That is the very attraction of football. We experience a whole gamut of emotions during a game and that is precisely why we attend matches. To be forced to listen to the same recording of some inane and artificial electronic mix after each goal will drag each goal celebration down into the mud of mediocrity. Every goal will lose most of its uniqueness. No music, thank you! Some music as the teams enter the arena is a different matter. This can be a welcome and ritualistic prelude to the action, broadcast, crucially, before a ball is kicked and therefore not interfering with the actual play. The old tune, incidentally, that accompanied the players as they took to the field when we won the league all those years ago, was Fucik's 'Entry of the Gladiators.' TWTD indeed.......
Cant beleive the choices they are total crap , def none of them . The atmosphere is tame enough as it is without drowning out the cheering when we do score . Now what i am in favour of is a new song in memeory of the great man himself .. Sir Bobby Robson . You know how Liverpool have "your'l never walk alone " and other clubs have a song that the whole ground will sing cos it means something to them , well how about we create a new song to sing in memory of Sir Bobby . ANYONE IN FAVOUR ? Any Ideas ? how about we ask his family what his favourite song was and bring it loud and proud to Portman Road
Enough of the rubbish goal celebration music ideas and lets get the WHOLE GROUND singing "MY WAY" for Sir Bobby at every game from now on . This can now be our great song for a true legend and and get eveyone singing
Not bothered. Disappointed that 'My Way' never caught on as an anthem for our club but then again, it's not like we've been given too much to sing about! Still, i'd like it to be played before the start of every game even if it's just in respect to Bobby.
