QPR Linked With Priskin Move
QPR Linked With Priskin Move
Wednesday, 27th Jan 2010 15:30

QPR are reported to have made a loan bid for Town striker Tamás Priskin. Rangers are looking for a new striker having loaned Patrick Agyemang to Bristol City.

According to reports in London, the club currently managed by Mick Harford want the Hungarian on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

Priskin turned down a loan move to Charlton earlier this month with Town boss Roy Keane admitting that he considers any offers that come in for his players: “If someone picks up the phone next week, not just about Tamás but about any of the players, we’ll have a look at it, just as we did about Colin Healy. We look at situations and ultimately it comes down the player.”

Priskin himself recently told the Hungarian press that he has no plans to leave the Blues after reports claimed that he would be sold in January in order to bring in new signings: "I’ve only seen this in the press and if it’s up to me, I'm not going anywhere.”

The 23-year-old joined the Blues from Watford for £1.7 million in the summer but has so far failed to make an impact, netting twice in nine starts and eight sub appearances.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have confirmed that former Town loanee Giovani Dos Santos has joined Galatasaray on loan for the rest of the season.

For all of u who critisise priskin ok now iv seen a few watford games n followed them as my 2nd team behind town of course but he's a player who plays extremely well in a team who plays well he will put the ball away 9 times out of 10 if the service is right with a dominating team and with ipswich and watford...not teams who dominate others all the time and with qpr heading for the playoffs...he could do with a move there, also if he ain't a goalscorer why would a side fighting for the top 6 be after someone who's only scored 2 goals all season n is a "waste of 1.7mill" as a lot of u priskin haters say but I agree with the ones who say get a striker in before letting him go on loan I wouldn't want him 2 go permanently he's still young. Kevin phillips on loan? Daniel sturridge? Ben sahar? Scott sinclair?

Would be a big mistake to let Priskin leave . Keane hasnt given the lad a chance to show what he can do and his confidence has dropped because if it. Dont forget he joined us when we were REALLY struggling. But last night He demonstrated in that short 10 min spell he had on the pitch that he has more flair than the current established strikers have, put together. Pablo for instance, just cant handle being "effectively" marked and as usual loses his cool, composure and his use to the team.

Give him a chance - he will be our top scorer next season IMO!

Can the person who phoned the radio last night saying Quinn should play up front please find a new hobby, because you either know nothing about football, or your braindead.

Don't know why Pablo is still such a favourite , he's lazy .

Priskin is potentially the best striker we have on the books . He did Ok when he came on and made more impact than Stead did on the night. Earlier in the season he played when the whole team were struggling

Get off his back , he is a Town player that needs to get his confidence , with a number of away games coming up , give him a run in the team. Definitely wouldn't let him go on loan to a rival Championship team

My guess is that Priskin is gradually working his way back into Keane's plans. After being frozen out of the final 18 for quite a few games, he has now come off the bench in the last two and the fact that he came on last night and not Stern John (who is supposed to be able to compete and hold the ball up to link with the midfield) at a critical point in the game would indicate that RK has a little more faith in him than before. OK, he missed a good chance that would seemingly have wrapped up the points but show me a striker who doesn't miss chances. Would you have taken Andy Cole at the height of his powers (or Michael Owen now?) - i think so - and they miss(ed) chances. Now you are going to tell me Tamas has missed a few like this - Derby game - and he was appaling aganst Sheff Weds when he apparently had no idea how to stay on side. And - you would be right! But I still think he will turn a corner once he is given a run in the team. I would not object if he starts at Preston on Saturday, I have a good feeling that he might hit the back of the net there. As fans, we should give him the chance to gain some confidence, get off his back and give him the support he needs. After all, his success is what we all want - isn't it?

I backed him big time before last night but he was crap didn't care and I'm afraid a 1.75 million pound striker should of scored the sitter he missed ship him

Interesting. I suppose this is a better offer than the Charlton deal? For the player. Whether or not we should be loaning out players to a side with whom we are competing is another thing...

If Priskin goes and Walters overcomes his injury as expected, I think Roy will have no choice but to bring in another striker. With Priskin off the wage bill - with a view to selling him in summer (as rumoured) looks like Stern may stay the season.

Cue the next predicted move - you heard it here first. The return of Alan Lee. The Palace administrators will accept anything for any or all of their players. Mr Guilfolye the Administrator will be making the decisions - not Warnock and not fancy dan. Ambrose, Moses and probably the keeper will all go first. We got ripped off when we went into Admin.

Thought Priskin did more in the time he was on than Counago. Definitely a much improved attitude and perfomance and agree he should be given a chance to start alongside Stead.

As long as he collects his wages , I'm sure he doesnt mind who he plays for .
Lazy with no composure or instinct.

i would not be upset to see the back of him. Each time I have seen him play, he frustrates the living hell out of me. I have never seen any player who looks so dissinterested in playing for us.

He has had a few chances to get the crowd onside (a word he does NOT seem to understand incidentally), yet just bottles it every time.
