Trotter in Injury Time Drama of His Own
Trotter in Injury Time Drama of His Own

Midfielder Liam Trotter was involved in injury time drama of his own with new loan club Millwall at the Den on Saturday afternoon. First Southampton striker Ricky Lambert’s freekick deflected off the Town man and into the net, then Trotter went up the other end and slotted home the equaliser.

The 21-year-old, who was making his second debut for Millwall, with whom he was previously on loan in 2006, beat two players before hitting a low drive into the net.

Elsewhere, midfielder Colin Healy helped Falkirk to a 1-1 draw against his old club Celtic at Parkhead on his debut for the Bairns.

Like Healy and Trotter, central defender Tommy Smith played the full 90 minutes on his debut as League One Brentford beat Carlisle 3-1.

Kevin Lisbie was booked as his Colchester side lost 5-0 to his former loan club Norwich at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Good to see all the lads out on loan had a good day (except for Lisbie - but, despite the opposition, he can go suck a lemon :^D)

Well done to Trotter, perhaps he should contact Roy and tell the boys how to score against the Saints next week!!! Also, the Sky reporter said that Healy was controlling the game for Falkirk at Celtic. All good news - and we sneak a last gasp winner too - nice one!

He needs a few years in League 1 to polish and then who knows could reach prem in his later years. I am pleased for him that hes getting the games on loan

Good to see the loan boys getting games.
I think what Keane says has changed my mind about Healy. I've not given the guy a chance before rushing to judge him. At least he deserves time. So what if he did not cost much and came from an Irish league? He was playing in blue and that should be enough to be given time.

Just shows you how much lower the standard in league one really is,Trotter a player that could never have a more apt name, even Bowditch gets a game for Yeovil & old man Forster still banging them in for Brighton .

Good man, nice goal too!
People have given he stupid amount of stick! To claim our results improved because he stopped playing was ridiculous.Garvan was shocking at the beggining of the season, he couldn't pass ten yards! Now look, that ball to create Colbacks goal was brilliant! He has proved what confidence does to a player!
Keep it up, hope to see you back at PR sometime soon Trotter!
