A bit sad over this, thought he was immense in his first season for us. Those pin-point crosses was a joy to watch. Maybe didn´t quite have the speed and strenght needed, but still a good player. Wish him all the best!

I love the way we're run now, but football is such a ruthless industry to be part of.

Evans part of us moving forward and becomes a victim of our success.

Lovely player, lovely bloke, hope he gets a decent contract somewhere.

So that will reduce the squad to the permitted maximum

It is little sad as he looked great in places never really seemed to recover from the initial injury and subsequently very fragile. I think his pace and mobility were also not quite what McKenna wanted.

Was our best player at the start of last season before injury. Was like a quarterback pinging long diagonal passes to our wing backs.

we've looked a much better team with more legs in the side imo. Evans couldn't get around the pitch in a 2. I think in a 3 as the deepest player he would be fine with some runners around him.

Another disappointing signing from the Summer of 2021. Six weeks of good, but wildly over-hyped, form at the start of last season does not justify an expensive three year contract. A look at Evans' injury record before joining the club suggests that we didn't do our due diligence there.

Looked good against total garbage in League One, more of a hinderance than a help against better teams than that and we looked miles better once he was out of the team and an actually good midfielder in Luongo replaced him. Shame for him personally that he's had yet another injury problem but thankfully the days of signing players like that are over.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Yep, totally agree Steve, he's a lovely bloke, met him a few times, model pro, but his time here has been a bit of a disaster all round.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him down the A12 or reuniting with Cook.

Was there for his hat trick and he looked great then and a number of other occasions but the type of injury he kept having didn't bode well, particularly given the step up to the kind of opposition we now face.
