Re: notes for leicester game

They don't bother with a right back
Their goalkeeper is a bit dozy in possession
It seems very easy to isolate their striker
Watch out for the wingers

Leicester putting on a ‘Southampton’ (or perhaps Ipswich circa dec ‘22), loads of possession but done nothing with it.

Very little urgency at times literally walking with the ball!

Makes you realise quite how attack-focused we are.

Indeed especially at FPR, the intensity this season has been fantastic to watch.

Leeds are so rigid in their formation, Leicester have picked up now with better movement off the ball. Their players off the ball were so static which left them with few options when on the ball.

Encouraging that leicester have looked so short on ideas going forwards against a defence we put three past.

Feels like a few games where they've come the right side of fine margins have caught up tonight. Arguably fortunate to beat Sunderland and QPR in the last fortnight.

Maybe can say the same for us v Plymouth and Bristol City, A reminder that this is a slog and a marathon, rather than a sprint.

Leicester clearly have some talented players, probably their super strength is their defence which is as good as it gets at this level really

They heavily rely on their wingers for the magic and play pretty conservatively besides that

Leeds totally stopped Dewsbury-Hall tonight, which made a big difference

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Leicester getting Fatawu in and having Mavididi up to speed is the biggest reason for their improvement since August. They played so narrowly in the first few games.

Stop Dewsbury-Hall and you pretty much stop Leicester. They have a very impressive squad, but they rely and go though Dewsbury-Hall a lot.

Ampadu did it really well. Morsy is equally capable.

What worries my about Leicester is they’re ideally suited to exploit the gaps left by Leif and whoever we’ll use at RB (presumably Brandon). They’re obviously not beatable, but they are still a level above most other teams in this league. We’ll give it a good go though, I’m sure of that.

It’ll be hell of a game to look forward to; a full house at FPR over the Christmas holiday. Doesn’t get much better than that.
