Successful loan spells 09:25 - Jul 31 with 692 viewsIPSWICHFANITFC

Who was the last player we loaned out who had a successful loan spell whereby they came back looking a lot more assured and ready for the first team at Ipswich?

Downes and Luton? Could argue El Mizouni and Leyton Orient.

I just hope Baggott has a really successful loan spell this season ready to make his mark next summer - and not how those final 6 months at Cheltenham played out.

You can add Wolf to Swindon about five years ago.

Not sure there is any argument about El Mizouni, it was clearly extremely successful.

Tyreece Simpson as well.

Truly impaired.

Yeah we bagged a decent chunk of cash off the back of Simpson's exploits on loan.

Kieffer Moore, maybe. Got us some cash from Barnsley for him.

Definitely made El Mizouni a better player, but the argument was more because he hasn't come back to be involved with the first team. It seems more likely that his future will be elsewhere.

You could argue that was only because we got promoted. If he has another great season and we are still in the Championship he would almost certainly be looked at in pre season.

Truly impaired.
