is still nearly two points a game, and in both the Pompey and Lincoln games the team showed character to come back when it didn't look like it would happen.

We must not also underestimate the effect of illness.

Hopefully this is our 'blip'.

Plymouth and Sheffield took 9/9. That’s where we need to be.

But neither is going to win all their remaining games, and there is still the transfer window to come.

And that’s the problem, they are both coming into a good run of form where we seem to be spluttering along currently.

Before that, Sheffield Wednesday drew three in a row - against teams we beat. Everyone seems to be ignoring that, though.

Last 4 games -

Plymouth - 12pts
Wednesday - 10pts
Us - 5pts

It’s only a small sample of games, but our inability to convert our chances will ultimately cost us if not addressed in January.

Shhhh

You’re not playing this game correctly.

You need to take Plymouth’s and Sheff Wed’s best run of form and multiply it by the amount of games left and take our worst run of form and multiply it by the amount of games left to work out the league table.

We miss out on the play offs by 2 points. The other 2 finish top and second on 125 and 122 points respectively.

Three of our games were away, whereas I think the opposite was the case for the other two teams.

Still got to win those games, we haven’t been clinical at home at times this season.

We are 3rd using 25 games as a sample size.

That’s where we are in the league today.

All 3 clubs will strengthen, Plymouth already have.

We are looking the weakest of the 3 over the last 6 weeks as well.

Hopefully our recruitment will enable us to reverse all of this, but it definitely needs to.
