Khan to quit as MP 17:32 - Apr 14 with 775 views | factual_blue | That's another tory loss then. Presumably it's now too late to have the by-election on the same day as the local election.

Khan to quit as MP on 17:48 - Apr 14 with 730 views | EastTownBlue | A so called “red wall” seat. A big by-election for both parties so it might get rather unpleasant under the media spotlight. The electorate of Wakefield you know what to do, don’t vote Tory.
Khan to quit as MP on 18:23 - Apr 14 with 663 views | HARRY10 | I wonder which Tory weirdo will now pop up claiming he was hounded out of office by the woke brigade of wokists, intent on wokery* Otherwise it appears to decided not to try to hang on after he was found guilty, a lesson for us all, wot says you fatboy ? not sure what it means, other than it is the cause of all righty woes
Khan to quit as MP on 20:46 - Apr 14 with 562 views | davblue | How has he been put in a position where he resigned rather than being thrown out of the party? That’s just pathetic for the Tory party. Or am I missing something?

When he was first charged the Tories suspended the whip pending the trial outcome. Following his conviction the Tories expelled him from the Party. Of course he remained Wakefield's MP and potentially would have done so after sentencing depending on the nature and length of the sentence and/or the success or otherwise of his appeal. So he didn't resign from the Party, he resigned as Wakefield's MP.
