One thing we've missed for well over a month is determination, effort, desire and front foot football.
Absolutely understand we've not overall created a load of clear goal scoring opportunities, but this is the first half that all town fans crave. Come out, try, play football, attack and if it fails at least you tried. That is what a Town team is all about.

It's been a solid 8/10, Only taking 2 marks away as we've not created alot of clear cut chances.
But, everyone is stuck in, Evans, morsy not shirking 50 50's. Wolfenden acting like a beast, Edmundson bringing the ball out and trying some Bramble runs.
It's just 'Ipswich' football of old, try try try. And that's all we as fans ever ask for. | |

Yeah I suppose it is. We look like we know what we're doing and everyone is doing it. High pressure, not giving them a second on the ball and getting the ball forward down the flanks as quickly as we can. We're pinning Sunderland's wing backs right back in their own half which is blunting their attacking play. It's markedly different to the disjointed, slow and hesitant stuff at the end of Cook's time (or even last week). |  |

I think a lot of it is about a manager/coaching team being able to effectively motivate them. Many of our legends say the motivation should come from within but sometimes, if things are not really working, having belief from your manager and a plan that all believe in will make a big difference. | |
