HT Summary 16:02 - Dec 18 with 806 views | chrismakin | Just ignoring the current score for a second One thing we've missed for well over a month is determination, effort, desire and front foot football. Absolutely understand we've not overall created a load of clear goal scoring opportunities, but this is the first half that all town fans crave. Come out, try, play football, attack and if it fails at least you tried. That is what a Town team is all about.

It's been a solid 8/10, Only taking 2 marks away as we've not created alot of clear cut chances. But, everyone is stuck in, Evans, morsy not shirking 50 50's. Wolfenden acting like a beast, Edmundson bringing the ball out and trying some Bramble runs. It's just 'Ipswich' football of old, try try try. And that's all we as fans ever ask for.

It’s like night and day compared to the last month. Everyone up for this and some great quality to boot. Penney slightly off it, I’d say, but all the boys are on it.

Yeah I suppose it is. We look like we know what we're doing and everyone is doing it. High pressure, not giving them a second on the ball and getting the ball forward down the flanks as quickly as we can. We're pinning Sunderland's wing backs right back in their own half which is blunting their attacking play. It's markedly different to the disjointed, slow and hesitant stuff at the end of Cook's time (or even last week).

HT Summary on 16:07 - Dec 18 with 681 views | Darth_Koont | A lack of ”determination, effort and desire”? Let’s be honest that’s just nonsense. These aren’t things you turn on and turn off. There’s never been a problem with that this season – but the confidence to play and the consistency has been the missing ingredient. Still is the missing ingredient until the team and McKenna can get going.

Penny done really well. Surrounded by 3 defenders and still gets something from it

We'll have to agree to disagree on that tbh but each to their own.

HT Summary on 16:09 - Dec 18 with 622 views | N2_Blue | Almost like they may be enthused by the prospect of the new coach. But then according to Keaneish no one would want to listen to a 35 yo. Fingers crossed we keep this going. If we win there will be a realbuzz in the camp on Monday morning when McKenna starts. Even if we don't the manager must be excited by seeing what we are capable of at least.

Did you go to Charlton? You’d be hard pressed to suggest that there was any determination after the match.

Yeah. We will. It doesn’t make any sense in any other elite sport but in football the fans are apparently qualified to talk about desire. But let’s take that later. 😃

I think a lot of it is about a manager/coaching team being able to effectively motivate them. Many of our legends say the motivation should come from within but sometimes, if things are not really working, having belief from your manager and a plan that all believe in will make a big difference.
