Why interim managers rarely work 07:16 - Dec 16 with 256 viewswkj

Unless your interim manager has a genuine chance of getting the job (which I doubt McGreal ever had before he even took a training session) - interim managers don't work.

You have a group of players who will be coached by someone who is effectively a supply teacher. I am sure the vast majority of us never performed for supply teachers as we knew there would be few consequences.

So, we have a bunch of players who loved working for Cook, some even came here just for Cook. Now Cook is gone - who is there to impress?

We need a 'permanent' coach installed this week - because if the players aren't going to perform for them before the January window, the new gaffa needs to know - and adjustments need to be made.

Get some players in who are proud to play football for a team as well supported as our own - not players who are here as they feel they're doing us a solid.

As bad as the players were individually and collectively last night, McGreal set us up terribly. No idea whatsoever what we were trying to do first half. And to not change it after 10 mins let alone a whole half was mad.

Agree we need a permanent man in quickly. To be lacking the basic of an organised shape at this stage of the season is not good enough. We continue to look such a poorly coached side.
