Surely it's worth a gamble 17:50 - Jan 31 with 1512 views | Churchman75 | We are 7 million worse off in league 1, basically we aren't in debt because the debt is our owner and whoever were to buy the club would have to pay Evans... I really cant see why Evans hasnt gambled with a couple of signing to push us over the line, he will be worse off if we dont go up. Look at the difference Magilton and Marcus Stewart made. Yes he's keeping us afloat, but HE made massive errors last season causing himself and our club to be worse off. HE employed the wrong person and trusted him to spend big. Its not rocket science, would Liverpool have sold Mana, Salah and Firmino and replaced with McGoldrick, Garner and Waghorn? Of course they wouldnt and he's been so so niave, - he should have learnt his lesson from past dealings and needs to atone for it.

Surely it's worth a gamble on 17:56 - Jan 31 with 1470 views | J2BLUE | What position do we need? We've got 4 decent strikers on paper. Maybe a back up LB or another CB if we play 3 CBs. Maybe we'll sign Smith.

Surely it's worth a gamble on 18:02 - Jan 31 with 1450 views | Darth_Koont | Yes and no. I'd agree it sounds like a sensible investment to ensure losing even more by staying down here. But A) new players would seem to return us to the rotation and confusion a settled first-choice team has started to get us away from and B) our spending has invariably taken us backwards over the last decade (possibly because it encourages A). Of course, if the right player comes along at the right price then you buy them whenever. But otherwise let's see if we can work with what we've got. If we can't then we've got bigger problems than what a couple of new signings would solve. [Post edited 31 Jan 2020 18:02]

Surely it's worth a gamble on 18:04 - Jan 31 with 1417 views | xrayspecs | League One clubs are bound by financial fair play rules which mean we can only spend circa 70% of our income on transfer fees and wages. It may not be a lack of ambition, it may be that we are maxed out already. In which case we would need to sell players first to raise the monies to spend. Lambert has being saying this for months, that we would need to sell before we can go back into the market.

Or we take the risk and pay the penalties when we get to the premiership😊

Surely it's worth a gamble on 22:44 - Jan 31 with 1106 views | ArnieM | OP: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/29361839 Town are restricted to spending a certain % of turnover . There are very strict rules governing all aspects of running the Club. I think if Evans could spend , he would . As the owner he has NOTHING to gain by Town remaining in League One .... I’d suggest people read the FFP rules.
