So Swinson managed Andrew Neil OK, she won't be PM on 09:06 - Dec 5 with 280 views | Swansea_Blue | I only caught parts of it and then caught up on the highlights. It was remarkably refreshing. An adult has entered the race at last. Clear and open answers that took the sting out of Neil's attack. Only she'll know whether she genuinely backed the votes that were brought up or did so under the whip (which is how it mostly goes). But it was a nice change to see someone be open, admit mistakes and address the questions without resorting to blatant lies or obfuscation.

And she didn't duck the charge, she knows that going into coalition with the Conservatives was a mistake (and she was too junior in the party at the time to have had much say in the decision). I would like to see the Liberal Democrats make much more effort to correct student loans (an issue that Labour cannot make any noise about without showing up their own shortcomings) and the breakneck policies that were used to equalise women and mens pension entitlement ages. As Churchill said of democracy 'that democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.…' you could also say that the Liberal Democrats are the worst party to vote for except for all the other parties on the ballot paper. Obviously one of the most shameful and unpatriotic things that someone entitled to vote on the twelfth of December can do is to put a cross (or any other mark) next to a Concervative candidate. And I do believe that very deeply before you go off on one.
