https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/top-stories/alastair-campbell-s-letter-to-jerem An interesting, if rather long, letter and some really key points in it - most notably.... If there was a second referendum then No Brexit would beat No Deal Exit. But Boris and his cronies are purely in election mode, they can stand on a No Deal platform and beat Corbyn's Labour party and will then have a mandate for No Deal, and no need for any second referendum or confirmatory vote - that their manifesto will give them their mandate and that will be hard for even the staunchest remainer to argue with. I can barely disagree with anything in there, Corbyn needs to step aside for a proper remain leader of the Labour party. No matter how Labour position themselves now, under Corbyn no staunch remainer will be able to vote for them in good faith. I certainly wouldn't. It is so important for the Labour party to stand up to boris and his Vote Leave Government and stop No Deal before it is too late for this country. | |
