Scum squad that went down on 14:11 - Nov 29 with 1406 views | Vic | that is a much better squad that ours. Goals in Cureton and a midfield leader in Hoolahan are enough to make the difference. What we do have is a group of young players, like Woolfie, Lankaster, Bishop, Downes, Nydam, Dozzzer (though I think he'll go), Cotter, Emmanuel, Folami, etc, who all have the potential to do well in Div 1 and then in the Championship if they come back up with us.

At that point though Hoolihan wasn't the match winner he was after they game back up, merely a winger who flattered to deceive at times and Cureton was well on his way down. Good to see mention of Robert Eagles though, the only player I can remember just being laughed at when he came on.

Scum squad that went down on 14:27 - Nov 29 with 1328 views | monytowbray | One thing that really is of note is how they had lost their two most prominent strikers and goal threats of recent years. No Huckerby, no Dublin. They'd had a rocky couple of years before that and dare I say it's a big comparison with us losing Garner and Waghorn (possibly McGoldrick too). I think the difference in us winning games is burying chances. Ropey defending aside, how many balls did we play into the box last night with no one close to getting on the end of them? If we still had Murphy I think he'd have at least 10 this season with how we've been playing up front, but Jackson for all his promising runs doesn't have the muscle. How does this add up with later loans that season too? I remember they had Alan Lee towards the end who did F' all.

Perhaps it's written in the stars. Sears already looks more like the player we signed again than he ever did under Mick/Hurst.

They had a powerful CEO in McNally who took the club up from its knees.
