So Webster’s money 07:07 - Jul 17 with 1582 viewscobbler

Am I right his fee was 3.5 mil up front and PH has that to reinvest in the team and that we already paid £700.000 for Edwards? So if I am correct then we have 2.8 mil to still reinvest where are we likely to do that in what positions we all know we need at least 1 centre half and maybe a striker.
But with three weeks to go I think Hurst needs to get a move on getting some deals done if we are to get a settled start to the season.

We won't be spending 2.8m on transfer fees.

Conservatively Barts wages will be around 750k to 1m a year.

Indeed, wages come into it as well and there's £550,000 to take out of that which went to Portsmouth as their sell-on.

We have also gained the wages of McGoldrick, Hyam, Bru and Crowe (and anyone else who was told to leave that I can't remember).

I doubt Hyam, Bru and Crowe were on a lot compared to some but we know McGoldrick was.

I suggest some of McG’s wages will pay for the upcoming new contract for Waghorn

Hurst would love to have some more players in, but he's not the one doing the deals.

We won't be using the Webster money. We paid £1.5m for players last season so until that has gone, we're still on the normal budget. But watch people try and tell you it's the Webster money re-invested.

Although that’s been covered by the money we received from FIFA

I think Hurst will be fairly patient on some aspects, leaving himself a little bit of "wiggle room" come January.

I think maybe one more signing (assuming Edwards comes in) and that'll be our central defender.

We may have a bit more left in the pot which if things aren't great after Christmas, will give him a chance to make some changes he feels are needed.

We'll see though.
