Let's not get into this constant 'he's famous' again please. He has been managing so has experience.

.....unless you are counting kids football.

I've got more experience of managing adults than he has.

But I'm not famous.

Enduringly lovable, intelligent and thunderingly exquisite.

Christ sake BB!

If people want him because he's famous, then so be it. But I've seen 2/3 good arguments/points from people why they'd be happy for him to come here based on 'merits' at the moment, rather than the fact he's just famous.

Again, i'll add, whilst he certainly isn't my top choice for manager, I wouldn't be totally against it.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Yes he has been managing though hasn't he? He's a hugely respected figure, Flynn Downes said he modelled his game on Gerrard, I'd imagine the motivation playing for his idol would be huge.

Coupled with Gerrard obviously being knowledgeable about the game he has more credentials than just being famous. It's a huge risk no doubt but exciting.

It's not exciting, it's completely ridiculous.
He's famous and was very good at football.

Is that where we are at with managers now ?
Holy Cow

We are now the club that takes completely random punts on managers because ... you know ... Stevie G ... Istanbul ... legend ... err that's it

Crazee idea here, how about a manager who has MANAGED BEFORE. EVER. ANYONE.

Gerrard's could get in some of the Liverpool youngsters on loan like Wilson, ojo, woodburn, Kent and Ejaria. Wilson is doing very well at Hull.

“Crazee idea here, how about a manager who has MANAGED BEFORE. EVER. ANYONE”

You mean like SAR or SBR when they managed us? I know Robson had 11 months at Fulham but I hardly think that made the difference.

Can’t say Gerrard is top of my list but I won’t be moaning if he is given a chance, every manager has to start somewhere.

I’m not saying he is the next SBR, but how can you write him off before he’s been given a chance? I’m merely pointing out the fact that everyone has to start somewhere.

How are you going to find the next best up and coming manager if you’re not prepared to take a gamble?

Twerp is a word you don't hear bandied around much this days.

I'm prepared to write him off because he has literally never managed anyone ever before.

Why would you let him do that ? To us ?

Are we so desparate that we do that ???

I’m not for one second suggesting SG would be the right appointment, but your short sightedness is impressive.

I’ve interviewed people with no experience compared to others but they interviewed well and had the right ideas and personalities to fit.

To write someone off without hearing what they have to offer is ignorant.

An interview is not much use to find out if someone is a decent football manager. I would want to see results first, there are so many top top footballers who are failed managers, we would be mad to even consider him.

The only Muff in Town.
