I don't think he will panic. He has had a very good and long managerial career.

My personal view, not just because I'm an Ipswich fan, is it would be silly for McKenna to leave now to join a relegation battle there would be a risk of him losing.

This is extremely harsh and cruel on cpfc, fully worthy of a point but thats premier league for you. Hodgson should be given at least til everton monday

Why on earth would he leave us to manage a club going only one way!

Palace need a manager with a lot more experience than McKenna and there a few out of work!

Wrong time for McKenna to gamble for a few quid he has such a imput here and has got what he wants training ground the pitch etc will have to be far more enticing to gamble your career on.

KM is far more intelligent than to take that hospital pass mid season.

Poor old F******.

Decides to take a leave of absences just as one of his dream scenarios happens.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I would be completely chilled.

No way they come for him now.

Would go for someone like Big Sam and then come back in the summer.

Truly impaired.

I can't see him going there at this stage. If he goes on a poor run they could go down.

At the end of the season, if we stay down then maybe.

As I said the other day, Crystal palace surely isn't a club he would be relishing to leave us for.

A couple of years back, Palace losing to Chelsea was expected and a free hit. How the ‘mighty’ have fallen given that losing to Chelsea is now a sackable offence…

I don't agree that they're definitely in long-term decline. They could very well stay up, and this time next year be as good as, say, Wolves are now, or better. They have such a great catchment area for talent, and I'd think their U21s are very tidy.

Indeed, far too risky to appoint a young and relatively inexperienced manager when you're freefalling down the Prem table. McKenna has zero experience of a relegation battle. They need a firefighter right now.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Palace set themselves up for this by sacking Patrick Vieira after a poor run of results against tough opposition. He had them playing better football & might have taken them further. So Hodgson did a good job as a fire fighter, but he was unlikely to take Palace anywhere beyond the scrum of clubs desperate to avoid relegation. Now they need another fire-fighter.
