They've always changed massively and been redesigned etc fairly frequently, so the most recent version looks nothing like the original, so basically it's just a name they're retiring really. |  |

I've owned a Focus in various marks for yonks.
The mk1 was a fantastic car, drove like a dream. The mk2 less so, but still OK.
The mk3 has been awful, in fact the most awful car I've ever owned, terrible build quality, the door seals are all held on with double sided tape, which eventually fails.
The spare wheel recess in the boot fills with water after seals on some rear vents fail. The seals on both headlights have failed, meaning they both fill up with water in the winter. Snap with the rear light clusters.
And the power steering sometimes fails to initiate, meaning you need to turn off and re-start to get it working. The permanent fix is a whole new steering rack @ £900
Air Con compressor has just failed too.
