Downes is off - second y ellow? on 20:57 - Feb 16 with 930 views | StokieBlue | He meant to show the red but showed yellow then red. Downes is an idiot. Just yelled at the ref. Judge did the same and could have gone. We have no discipline. SB

Yeah it was. He got a yellow for the foul and then a straight red for something. Verbals presumably, but I didn't think that's a red.

Can only imagine he should have shown the yellow twice. Booking for the foul, second booking for the verbals. Probably partly due to Judge's reaction too.

He didn't show a second yellow. It was a straight red, unless the ref got it wrong in the heat of the moment of being called a tvvat

Didn't show the second yellow though. Think he's messed up there. He'd lost his head, as evidenced by putting his head in against Judge. Players have been sent off for similar

Northampton players were holding the ref back. Totally lost it.

Crazy. I don't blame the ref for the result one bit, but we should really be putting in a complaint about that. He doesn't deserve to referee if he can't keep his head. A player behaving like that would be retroactively looked at

We were awful and deserved nothing. But really poor reaction from the ref there. Think it was still on his mind with the Downes sending off too. I had this feeling we wouldn’t finish with eleven on the pitch.
