Is our squad really that strong? 17:14 - Feb 1 with 797 viewsnoggin

I haven't seen any evidence to suggest it is. We get outplayed by the teams around us, time and again. The last 2 games have highlighted how weak we are if anything.

We have an incompetent manager and coaching team. There's not much more to it than that.

Sure there is, the owner still thinks they're up to the job and won't sack them.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

People say ‘best squad in the league’.
But we’re not.
Big squad yes.
Best squad, no.

I think on paper it's a great squad for this level. Sadly I don't think we have a manager who can get a team performing as greater than the sum of its parts.

No. It lacks height, strength (both physical and mental), pace and genuine quality on the ball.

It's got a smattering of average to decent League One players, and after that it's players that originally came from League Two, promising academy players, those coming to the end of their careers and starting to lose legs, and players who were good but can't stay fit/in form.

Our best player on the ball this season, Garbutt, is not even as good as he is made out to be, in my opinion.

For starters it finished below Rotherham last year as well, so I don’t know how it can be. Looking at about 8th I reckon with the only positive being it might make them shift a few of these no hopers (although at the rate we’re going they’ll all be on new contracts by the end of the season)

Performing as a team that IS the sum of its parts would be a good start.
