He's saying that because the victory is so big it might lead to a softer brexit as Boris can effectively ignore the ERG.

I'm doubtful of that conclusion but it's quite an interesting take.

If he keeps the ERG on board and gives some of them cabinet posts then I would take that as the Tories moving towards the far-right views of the ERG.
