That's more down to pants tactics than actually Jonas' inability to throw a long ball
Okay maybe it isn't quite as flat at Delap's throw but we had one ineffective tactic which was actually more a threat to ourselves rather than the opposition. Why the supposed hoof merchant McCarthy didn't have a range of routines for Jonas' throws is beyond me. I'm sure the Pullis' of this world would have a decent set of routines for those throws.
I guarantee if he joined someone like Millwall, they'd make a hell of a lot more out of those throw ins than we ever did! [Post edited 14 May 2019 23:30]

I'd agree.
McCarthy's aimless throws into the box and aimless free kicks into the channel were the catalysts for him being called a dinosaur. |  |
