I don't want to seem too anti-Lambert but I'm getting increasingly suspicious of the stuff he's saying. He's saying players got caught up with the emotion of the game but he did too with the touchline furore at a key period in the game. He says look at all our kids we're having to play, but actually his defence, including Gerken, who were the ones at fault are some of the most experienced players in the team, and even Pennington is 24. He says how physical they were, and that he could see that coming, which makes you wonder why he hasn't tried Nsiala, who is physically bigger and almost certainly stronger than Chambers and Pennington. Possibly Donacien too. | |
